First Love…never let it go

I just came back from Penang attending a friend’s wedding which was held in PCC on Saturday. On Sunday, I attended the church service at TOG. The church that I attended when I was studying in USM. Sad to know that many leaders and members left. I was not told the reason why but it has to do with the dollar sign. My previous church are in the same situation. Member’s wanting to leave because the pastor is not transparent when it comes to money issue. Why can’t they be transparent?

This is easy…

1. His is my first love. Who can ever forget your first love right?

2. He love God first.

3. He is very soft-spoken. Sometimes I can hardly hear what he say!

4. He is very patient. Totally the opposite of me. Opposite attracts remember? hehe

5. He is a Baba, my granduncle some more! My great grandmother is his grandfather’s cousin. They have the same surname, Bong.

6. He loves children. I think most ladies are attracted to men that are good with children.

7. He is handsome and smart. Must find good genes for my offsprings.

8. He loves sport and an outdoor person. So do I.

9. He loves me for who I am, despite my many weakness.

10. He accepted me even though I broke his heart many many year ago. We went our own way for 7 years and finally God brought us back together in 2001.

Today is my 6^th wedding anniversary with my first love and also the mark of the beginning of this blog. You know the song, “My first love is Jesus. He is the one that I adore.” If I were to say that my first love is Jesus, I would be lying. I found Jesus thru my first love. His first love is Jesus. I am actually struggling in my walk with God. Many circumstances in life caused me to wander away from God but not that far. Don’t worry.

I hope by starting this blog, it will motivate me to read His word and share my experience with Him here. I will try to be transparent here, as I need to be accountable to someone. If I slack in my walk with God, please kick my butt. When I am walking right with God, give me a pat on my back please. Can?
