Faithfulness

I was telling hubby that I am reading the book of Numbers, the toughest book in the Old Testament for me to complete. Many times when I said I wanted to finish reading the whole bible, I will get stuck at Numbers. Then he remembered Pastor was saying that we need to be faithful in reading the Word too. No matter how hard and difficult it is, we need to persevere.

In relationship with man, faithfulness is more prevalent in times of hardship. We always hear couples saying that they are very faithful to their spouse but that is said during good times. What about when there is hardship in the marriage like sickness or financial difficulties? Would you stay put as what you have vowed on your wedding day? In sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy.

Well said, many marriages break-up bcos of money, and nowadays for the slightest issue! Remeber our Lord said that when He returns will He find faith? signs of the times! sigh!

Last time when I was in my teens days, I always use reading the book of Numbers when I could not sleep at night… LOL… I was that bad, until I realized that I shouldn’t take God’s word for granted like that.

Kudos to you for trying to finish up the book of Numbers. May God grant you perseverance.
