I also think the verse "…love is not jealous…" could mean we should not feel jealous to the extend that we have bad thoughts or hurt the other person (example, the woman who closely associate with your husband) and justify our act by the name of LOVE. God do not want us to create disharmony in our marriage and I think that's why God teaches us this. And the verse "…love is not self-seeking…" could simply mean we should not seek to love ourself more than others. Instead, we should seek for ways to love others more. Maybe if we try to give thanks to God more often, then we can ward off jealousy, selfishness, insecurity and others bad thoughts little by little? For me, sometimes it helps when I pause for a moment and try to think of what would Jesus do in that situation. I also agree with what Jaycee said.
