Fasting
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Health | icon4 12 28th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

I have not been fasting for ages. Today I will officially start my fasting which I will skip my lunch until CNY. I am not fasting for spiritual reason, more of dieting.

I think this is healthier way of dieting than taking weight loss supplement like hydroxycut for fast weight reduction. Anything that is F.A.S.T without the “ing” will surely have negative side effect in the long run.

I want to loose weight gracefully. :D

I will also start swimming again after I get rid of my runny & itchy nose! Sometimes I feel like plucking my nose and send it for overhaul!

My aim is to loose 5 kilos and to get rid of my pregnancy flabs too.

Online dating is not something foreign anymore. One of my good friend is happily married to the girl he met online. One of the mommy blogger I know also met his Canadian life partner online. She is happily married to him and they have one beautiful daughter. When blog hopping I found out that a few blogger mommies met their spouse online. I made a few good friends online too. One of them is a guy from Kuwait. We have been communicating for 5 years already!

These days, love knows no boundaries. I am talking about the geographical boundaries, not moral boundaries. :P With internet access, communication knows no boundaries. I am not surprise if one of my children meets their life partner online. But they must be a firm believer in Christ, a missionary or a pastor much better. Hehe.

As parent we must first educated our children about dating online. I found a good website that offer online dating tips, the general DOs and DON’Ts of online relationships, to using the various dating services available online. They also recommended a few good Online Dating Sites. If you have any question or need dating tips apart from whatever that has be given, you can always contact them about it. You can find out more about it at OnlineDatingTips.org.

I so sad, I have nothing to unbox coz no one give me Christmas present this year, not even custom printed calendars. :(

We Are The Reason

As little children
We would dream of Christmas morn
Of all the gifts and toys
We knew we’d find
But we never realized
A baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives

We were the reason
That He gave His life
We were the reason
That He suffered and died
To a world that was lost
He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live

As the years went by
We learned more about gifts
The giving of ourselves
And what that means
On a dark and cloudy day
A man hung crying in the rain
All because of love, all because of love

I’ve finally found the reason for living
It’s in giving every part of my heart to Him
In all that I do every word that I say
I’ll be giving my all just for Him, for Him

He is my reason to live

I would like to wish ALL my readers and fellow blogger friends a Blessed Christmas & A Most Blessed New Year. :D

I love because You first love me
I live because of what You gave
You dies, showed me how to live
Your mercy taught me to forgive

You came and prove yourself so free
Your blood wash away my shame
And now I can live again
I am more of You and less of me

My First Love
Forever You will be
My First Breath
You’re the life in me
My First Joy
The world can never take from me
My covenant with You, Jesus

Your love fall down
Your love fall down
Your love fall down
Over Me

Christmas Gift Box

Since Christmas is just around the corner, I shall name my box, Christmas Gift Box.

They are selling them quite expensive you know. I am sure all of us have those square Christmas Card and CNY card from last year. Don’t throw them away. I am going to teach you how to make a box. You can call it jewelry box, gift box or whatever box. :P

1

Make a cross in the middle. Fold all 4 sides in.

2

Do the same like the above to all 4 sides.

3

Cut 2 sides like the above.

4
5
6

Fold it in like the above.

7
8

The cover is ready. :)

9

For the bottom, it must be smaller than the top. So you have to draw another line like shown above. Fold to the outer lines. The rest are all the same.

10
11

There you go, a cute lil Christmas Gift Box.

I plan to put the gold bracelets that I bought in there. :)

ABC, Rojak & Laksa
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Food, Love | icon4 12 21st, 2007| icon3No Comments »

It is great having a maid and MIL (to keep an eye on the maid) around.

We can go dating often!

Yesterday was a public holiday. We brought our children for a short picnic at the beach. We had our afternoon nap after that but not the children, when we woke up, the children nap. So we took this opportunity to go out dating. :)

Since I did not have my lunch and I love eating cold stuff on a rainy day. The first thing that came to my mind was the Ice Cream or ABC (Air Batu Campur ~ Grated Ice with Syrup, Milk, Corn, Jelly and Red Beans). So we went to our one and only solely ABC shop that runs by Chinese near my place. The shop has been there since my parent’s dating days! They even have Danze fauctes at their wash area.

sunday

Whenever I eat there, I would remember my mom telling me that that shop is where my dad would bring her when they went out dating and she craves for the ABC almost every week when she was pregnant with me. :)

Now I wonder whether it will still be around when my children starts dating. hehe.

Here was what we had:

Ice Corn with Attap Seed for me. The corns and the seed is hidden under the ice.
corn

Their specials: No 1. Surprise: Finding Treasure for Hubby. But the treasure were not hidden. You can see them at the top!
surprise

And the only 2 Non-Ice served at the shop.

Rojak Kangkong

and Melaka Nyonya Laksa

Honestly, their food is nothing to shout about but we are left with no choice when you crave for their ABC and hungry at the same time. Another option is to pack back their ABC which we often do when spending quality time with each other is not our top priority. :)

Movie Turns Into Adventure
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Etc | icon4 12 19th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

I wanted to make up for hubby’s birthday celebration by going for a movie. I wanted to get him Nike golf set but I can’t afford it. I can only afford a movie ticket. :P I check out MBO and found out they have a movie at 10.15pm. I was thinking if I can get my children to sleep by 9.30pm, we could go.

So happened that they nap early too. Looks like we could make.

8.55am, I shooed them all into bedroom. After having their milk, all of them is still wide awake. So I played a while with them for 15 minutes. 15 minutes is up, my eldest request for baby stories. Not one but each of their baby story. By 9.30pm, still not sleeping, screamed for hubby to help hoping that in 15 minutes he could make them sleep but to no avail. Plan canceled. :(

So we ended up going for late night supper and a drive after that. We enjoyed ourselves after all with our first time “adventure”.

On Your Birthday
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Family | icon4 12 17th, 2007| icon34 Comments »

bday

I am sad coz I did not get to make you happy on your birthday.

It all started when I found out that there will be Matthew project at our house on your birthday. Our plans just to be with each other went down the drain and it affected my mood too.

The waiting at the Internet Cafe, the cranky, hungry and sleepy children makes me wanna go home and just sleep instead of having lunch together.

The car brake pads problem, adds to the unspoken tension between us.

Plan for supper was canceled coz I overslept due to emotional exhaustion.

I wish I can make it up to you in any way.

Would you like a transfer tank?

Dec 15

God knows that hubby won’t buy me any Christmas present. You see, his language of love is not receiving gift; he tends to not give gift too. Poor me ya? :(

Like I said, God’s know and I got a gift from him yesterday. Look!

dove

A bag. I love the bag. Perfect to keep all my children’s stuff in there when we go out for shopping or church. :)

An a set of beauty products from Dove and a t-shirt which was flown all the way from US!

And he got that all for free when he participated in the Dove’s Campaign For Real Beauty. God knows that he is stingy too!

Thank God he got the above goodies, if not, if I insist on a Christmas present, being the practical him, I might get the HDMI cables for our TV!

Thank You, Lord. :D

Free Phone Chat

When you are in love and apart, the phone is never left in cold. Whenever possible it will be hold tight just like how you will hold your love ones tight when they are in your arms. And when the bill come, either your parent will be screaming or your wallet!

I bring good news this season, not about the birth of Christ, but about a free chat lines service offered by Talk121. You have to be in US to enjoy this phone chat service though. With it you can enjoy free chat as long as you want to and you can even leave Voice Personals for your love ones to hear when they are off the phone.

I don’t mind opening my house for the church activity or for business performance management discussion but I do mind when it falls on special occasion where I want only our family to be involved.

This Sunday is hubby’s birthday and their will be a youth meeting at our home. It was supposed to be on Friday but is postponed to Sunday. They didn’t know about hubby’s birthday though.

So my plan to spend the night with hubby has to be canceled. We will go out to celebrate the occasion earlier, on Thursday most probably but it won’t be the same like as on the day itself. :(

Lovebites
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Life, Love, Take Five | icon4 12 11th, 2007| icon32 Comments »

Sorry to disappoint you but I am not telling you how many Lovebites I got before. :P Read on.

I love Sunsilk. No matter how many times I left Sunsilk, I ended up going back to him. I have dandruff and the anti-dandruff shampoo from Sunsilk does not make my hair dry like other anti-dandruff shampoo. This is reason I stick to it.

I think, Sunsilk love me back because while waiting for my hair to get dry after shampooing, (I don’t like to blow dry my hair), I can now watch Lovebites exclusively brought to me and to you by Sunsilk.

It is a 2 minutes comedy series with 60 episodes about a 25 years old girl, name Callie an assistant style editor at Elle.com battling with quarter life crisis.

I watched a few episode last night, and I tell you, hubby is wondering why am I laughing at my laptop!

Here’s one of the episode that I find very funny! :D

Pick One, Please
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Shopping | icon4 12 11th, 2007| icon31 Comment »

With a helper at home and MIL, I can leave the children behind and tag along wherever hubby goes. Today, we gave it a try. Left them and follow hubby to the shop to give advance pay to his staff. Then we went shopping to buy ice-cream that I promise to get for my girls before I left them.

There is a watch shop there and I went in thinking that I can get hubby to pick one of his preference and I am done with his birthday present hunt. Unfortunately, he shows no interest in even looking at them. I thought woman are so fussy about gift. This man of mine…I scratch my head!

He does not want me to spend. Maybe if I buy him term life insurance, he would accept it. No need to buy anymore present for years until it mature because every year have to pay the premium!

Birthday Present
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Family, Shopping | icon4 12 9th, 2007| icon32 Comments »

7 more days to go and I still have not decided what to buy for him. I went to BuySell to look for Nokia N70 but the price is way over my budget. Maybe I will just buy the Motorola RAZR which is withing my budget but I still prefer Nokia cellphones.

However, just now during dinner, he asked me for time coz the watch he is wearing is not ticking as how it should. Ok, ok, maybe I will get him a watch first but which one?

watch

I wish I can find something similar like the above Lange Sohne watch. Beautiful isn’t it? I said similar because I could buy a brand new car for the same price of the watch. The price is USD31,300! If only RM31.30, it will be wrapped in a birthday gift wrapper already.

Dec 7

Now I realized the reason I always want to go out shopping, for dinner or for just a walk at the beach. Not because I want to spend money, I want to save as much as I can but I am willing to sacrifice all that just for his undivided attention.

When he is at home, the moment he leaves the dinner table and I can manage the children by myself, his eyes will be glued to the LCD monitor and his fingers pressing the keys on the keyboards.

He spends more time with his MoSiang game than his wife and children. This sucks.

No French Beans For Him
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Food | icon4 12 5th, 2007| icon34 Comments »

After living with him for almost 7 years yesterday I just realized that he does not like eating French Beans. All this while he told me that he eats almost everything that is edible and clean (no unclean food except pork). So I never make an effort to observe his likes and dislikes because he eats almost every food.

vege

I cook Ayam Masak Merah and Stir Fried French Beans and Sweet Pea with fishballs for dinner last night. I was kind of disappointed that he ate very little even though he said that the chicken dish tasted fine. Hardly touch the veggie but ate the fishballs. I am so unmotivated to cook again.

If hubby really wants me to cook again, I must request him to write love letters that will fill my mailboxes, then I might consider. :P

Outer Banks
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Friendship, Take Five | icon4 12 4th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

Last month of my buddies asked what Outer Banks is. I didn’t know how to explain to her. Since that is the text for the bayar post that she is preparing, I helped by forming a sentence using that text. I think it goes something like this. “As I was standing on the outer banks, I saw 2 beautiful swans swimming along the river.”

Today, I received the same assignment and the text has nothing to do with river banks! It is the name of a place! So embarrassing!!! I, so call her English tutor taught her the wrong thing! Malu Malu

Thanks Amidrin for this interesting tag. This tag reminds me of the many occasion where I eat food with flies in them! If I drink Jura capresso, I will experience giddiness and perspire due to caffeine. If you eat food with flies in them, you will definitely have diarrhea but not me. Praise God for that because I believe when you say your grace before meal and not forgetting to ask God to sanctify you food, you are spare from making the toilet your home that day.

Copy the whole thing, skim the list and put a * star beside those that you like. (Check out especially the * starred ones.) Share one of your own health tip (tip on how to be more healthy) with others. Try to make your tip short but informative. Tag at least 2 person.

Family House
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Family, Marriage | icon4 12 1st, 2007| icon3No Comments »

When I first live with hubby in his family house, the house is occupied by his mother and “a year older than him” brother who were not married then. More than a year ago, he finally found his life partner and got married. However, he shifted to his wife’s family house even though MIL told him not to coz she will be lonely without him around because hubby is always not around due to ministry.

Yesterday, he informed hubby that he will be shifting back here. Honestly we weren’t that excited about it. We were kind of prepared our mind that this house will be ours. Now we have to share it with another family. But for the sake of MIL, we will to learn to accept it. Furthermore it is the family house.

Before that brother got married, we did discuss the possibility of getting our own home if he stays. Maybe we will if God bless us financially and if it is His will for us to have a home to call our own.

If that were to happen, we would need a company like Boston Moving Company to help us move. I don’t think we can do it on our own with 3 small children.
