Slain in the Spirit

Not during altar call in church just now. With 2 kids hanging on my legs, I don’t think I can be slained. hehehe

Last night I dreamt that I was slain in the spirit. Wow! The feeling was awesome and so wonderful. I really miss that touch of God. I can’t remember when was the last time I was slain in the spirit. Maybe during campus days where I am really opened and desire for God’s touch in my life.

What happened now? I dunno. As time passes by, there are so many things happened in my life. My heart are hardened to the spiritual things. I have this kinda thoughts that those that are slain have some kind of problem in their life that is why they need the touch from God.

God has blessed me in so many ways. In a way, I think that I am okay, I have all the basic things in life. No complaints. Ok lar a little bit here and there but I can do without it.

I guess God is reminding me that I do need His touch or He wants to touch me or maybe there’s this inner desire to be in God’s presence, to be touched by God.

Pilgrimage

If I have RM10k extra to spend on anything that I like. The first thing that comes to my mind is Europe tour since that is almost everyone dream vacation. On 2nd thought, I would rather spend that amount going for a pilgrimage, to the land of the Bible, Jerusalem specifically. It would be awesome to be able to stand on the ground that Jesus stood and preach.

If you have been there, have you ever thought of going for a Christian Cruise? Living Passages is organizing Christian Cruises and Tours to those interested. One of the upcoming Christian Cruises is the Footsteps of Paul- Mediterranean Luxury Cruise July 2008.

This 8 days tour will start in an authentic sailing adventure on a privately chartered luxury yacht that holds 170 believers! There will be bible teachings on board and on shore. Visit to the Bible ports of Athens, Patmos, Ephesus and Pergamum. Full day visit to the most beautiful island in the world - Santorini.

Check out the website to learn more about this wonderful cruise.

Pastor = Shepherd

I learned something new this week.

A Pastor of a church is like a Shepherd. His church members are his sheep.

Sheep likes to wonder around and the Shepherd will go after that sheep.

So a Pastor’s job is to show care and concern towards his church member. Chasing after sheep is his job.

So, can a Shepherd blame the sheep or punish the sheep if the sheep does not go to him?

If in the first place, the Shepherd never show concern, never build that close relationship with the sheep, do you expect the sheep to get close to you?

Mission Trip To Sarawak

We had lunch after the service with Pastor and her staff. We have 3 ladies running the church. ;)

Since hubby’s calling and passion is in the mission work, he has been given the responsibility to organize a mission trip to Sarawak soon. It will be after June. I am so excited about it. Looks like I will going to my first mission trip after a long 7 years of “holiday”. After I got married and have children, I am stuck here under my “coconut shell”.

Now I really have to start keeping myself fit. Not only to slim down but for the coming mission trip. ;)

How To Receive God’s Blessings

All of us always ask this question, “How Can I Receive God’s Blessings?”

I go to church every week, I pay tithe, I give to the needy, I behaved well etc but I have not receive God’s blessings. Where did I go wrong?

I have the answer to that question. Yes! I know How We Can Receive God’s Blessings.

Easy only…

No 1. Read Psalm 1
No 2. Memorize Psalm 1
No 3. Meditate Psalm 1
No 4. Apply Psalm 1

And whatever you do will prosper. Not I say one know. God said that.

Here is Psalm 1: 1-3

1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

That was what hubby preached just now in church. =) Maybe one day I should get hubby to preach about addiction treatment through the Word of God. ;)

preacher

I better go memorize my Psalm 1 now. =P

* FREE matching system that will send unlimited matches your way and allow you to agree or disagree with our selections.

Never pay for LOVE. Love that has to be paid is not love; it is LUST!

Wow! Am I turning in a philosopher??? I am frightening myself now.

Honestly, that is the thought that came to my mind when I read about the Free Dating Service that is offered by Meeta.com.

The unique thing about Meeta.com is it does not only help you find your match but allows you to start a group or join group of your interest, then meet in a group. I guess this is much better and safer than one on one meet ups. Through this we can also observe how our match socializes with others. That will bring out lots if their personality.

This is not for me anymore. I am happily married with 3 kids and have not time for other things except blogging!

Looking for Long Lost Friends

In my life to date, I do not have many friends. Partly because I do not like to join cliques because I was rejected from a clique when I was only in Primary Two because I am not pretty and tall enough. Furthermore, cliques are too girly for a tomboy me. I made good friends with 2 shorty boys who are very much taller than me now. ;) What happened to the tall and pretty girl cliques? They are still prettier than me and I am way taller than them now. hehe. I am a late bloomer.

This goes on until now. I only make few good friends throughout my schooling life. Unfortunately, I did not keep the contact of those good friends that I’ve made. That is my only regret. The only way is hoping that they would join community like 3gb. I hope to stumble upon them one day. That means that I need to join every community there is in the internet because I wouldn’t know which community they will be in. Hard work man!

If not, I would just enjoy the mp3 music that if available in that community or I could even make good friends along the way. I could even promote my blog and bring more traffic to this blog of mine.

Buah Tangan

I forgot to mention that when we went to visit Uncle George and Aunty Grace, we only bring a small container of Kaya and before we left, Aunty Grace gave us a bottle of Ribena, a can each of Curry Lamb and Curry Chicken. It was so embarrassing. They are pensioner and we are working people, make us look so stingy eh.

Actually visiting them was a last minute discussion so we are not prepared with any gift for them. I just scoop op my homemade Kaya as our gift. I think we should keep some wine gifts in case of last minute home visitation again. ;)

Uncle George & Aunty Grace

uncle george

Thursday, our night but tonight we don’t feel like going dating. Instead we went to visit Uncle George and Aunty Grace; the parent of our missionary family who is now serving in Cameron Highland. Hmmm…now we good reason to go to Cameron Highland but our car does not permits us yet. :(

Uncle George loves to talk, sharing his experience and knowledge, a man full of wisdom. We enjoyed listening to him.

Sad to know that the church has stopped supporting their daughter and family.

Sad to know that the church is decreasing instead of increasing in the number of members. People are leaving. We left. *sigh*

Glad to know that Uncle George and Aunty Grace is as healthy as they can be. God is really good to them.

I love his plants. He really have green fingers.

He got nice bar faucets too in the kitchen.

Uncle George!!! What is I.V.E??? Maybe this is a trick to get us to come back to visit him soon. :D

Weekly Post Mortem

We just came back from the local Malay stall. We have Roti Canai, Carrot Milk and Lime Juice.

It was a very fruitful supper time.

I talk about blogging, as always. :P He talked about ministry. We talked about business, income, family, our vision, new year resolution that has yet to be fulfilled.

At the end of it, we felt so refreshed. We got back our focus in life.

Hubby suggested that we should do this weekly. We will see how it goes. ;)

Looking 10 Years Younger

Hubby took out some photos of me from his wallet. He has four of them. One when I was 19yo, another when I was in 3rd year of university, then there is our wedding photo and my current passport photo. He said he likes my look when I was 19yo. Looks so innocence. Sure lar, I am very innocence then. Still am. :P

Now, I don’t like taking photograph of myself. I don’t like my look now. Sign of aging is very obvious. I wish I can look 10 years younger. Maybe I should give lipovox a try. Reviews has it that it has anti-aging properties, blood sugar-lowering and fat burning nutrients. So I will look younger and slimmer then. I wonder whether got side effect or not. Sekali after stop eating, I will look 20 years older! *faints*

Handyman

Most wives would love to have a handyman at home. Unfortunately my man is not one of them. All he knows is to troubleshoot networking problem and reformatting computer if he can’t fix it. If there is anything wrong with the electronics item in the house, it will be left untouched until we get a replacement. Such a waste of money. Hope that my son would be able to take this “job” soon. ;)

Chow Yun Fatt Look Alike

chow yun fatt

Hubby said, at one glance, he looks like Chow Yun Fatt!

Maybe I should get him to dress up in the equestrian clothing and get him to post like the above. And then I shall post their photo side by side as really see whether they do look alike.

Since I first laid eyes on Chow Yun Fatt, he has been my favorite Hong Kong actor. Maybe that is the reason I got attracted to my hubby. Coz he look like Chow Yun Fatt!

Spontaneity

Being spontaneous.

That’s why we did tonight. All we know that Thursday is our night out. We did not plan on how to spend the night. All I know is, I wanted to eat Ikan Bakar.

So we drove all the way to Padang Temu and had our Ikan Bakar at Muara Sg. Duyung. It was raining so, a walk at the beach after dinner is not possible.

Hubby suggested for us to catch a movie. So to Mahkota Parade we went and we watched Escape from Huang Shi, a story based on true life story about a man named George Hogg that lead 60 Chinese orphaned boys to safety from the Japanese army.

I like spontaneity. It’s fun. :D

Time to go sleep beside my son. I promised him that before I left him with the maid. ;)

Heaven is So Real

I can’t imagine that the title brings the most comments in my kid’s blog. To date the Heaven is So Real post written on March 29th, 2005, that’s 3 years ago has 217 comments and still receiving comments from time to time.

I did not write a review of the book, Heaven is So Real which was written by Choo Thomas but readers use my blog as a platform for them to discuss about Heaven is So Real. I guess I am the first blogger to write about it and my comment box is opened to everyone except those who uses not so nice words, their comments will be deleted by yours truly. ;)

And also then, that blog of mine has a PR4. That post was ranked 3rd after Choo Thomas’ website and Amazon. Then after the Google Smack, my PR went to zero until now, the post was gone from the first top 20! Since then I don’t see any new comment coming in until today. That was more than 3 months ago.

To my surprise, today, that post rank No. 6 in Google Search. Is this an indication that I will soon get my PR back??? Please let it be Lord.

Financial Blessing from Us to Them

Praised God that we finally managed to gather RM67k for my SIL. All from her brothers and sister; one of the benefits of having many siblings.

I understand from one of my BILs that someone came to harass them for money on Easter Sunday. I wonder whether they are from the mortgage lenders. I hope not. And my SIL locked herself in her room for hours not wanting to talk to anyone due to the stress that she is facing.

Stress is not good coz it fools around with your hormones and this does not help in making her heal faster from her breast cancer.

I really hope that God will heal her ASAP and bless them financially indeed; more job offer for her hubby.

Man Made Paradise

Have you been to a place where you never want to leave when your time to go home is up? I know of such place, once you are there, you will never think of going home because that is your eternal home; Heaven. The way to go there is to believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and that He came to earth to redeem you from all your sins. Unfortunately we can’t go there as and when we want to, we have to wait for our turn to be called Home.

Since we are still on earth, there is also man made paradise like Villa Nicoletta. It sounds like heaven to me because that is the place where stress isn’t allowed and peace, serenity and genuine relaxation are the only demands of the day. If you could go there, you would thoroughly enjoy yourself. And when it is time for you to head home and back to work, you’d want to stay longer. But you have no choice but to leave, earn more money and come back again when time and finance permits it.

Villa Nicoletta nestled atop a 70-foot cliff overlooking the north shore of the Island of St. Thomas and the aquamarine waters of Caret Bay. You can make your reservation through St Thomas Condo Rental.

Jogging for Genting

All because we want to have more fun in our coming 2nd Honeymoon in Genting, we forced ourself to wake up early to go for a jog at the beach yesterday and until we feel that we have enough stamina to walk throughout the theme park, enjoy ALL the thrill rides, climbing the X-Pedition wall (rock climbing) and of course more fun in bed.

Unfortunately, our jog turned into just brisk walking coz hubby wanted to poo-poo! :(

Anyway, I did not wanna waste my effort, left him and jog by myself until my perut kaki cramp and until I felt like vomiting. This is definitely one way on how to lose weight.
