Cycle To Work

cycle

Today, I managed to see him off with a camera in hand. :). This is his 2nd attempt cycling to his shop which is 11km away from home. It takes him 45 mins to arrive. It is very tiring but he can manage without any legal steroids. He is hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone; to save petrol and also keep his body fit.

As for me, let’s see whether being a SAHM will help me reduce some weight!

I Play Cabal!

Cabal is an online game that my hubby is currently into and I kinda get hooked to it; helping him to complete his quest! Since I do not have to blog so much nowadays and while waiting for my girls to finish their homework, I play for 15 minutes to half an hour.

Like many other online game, it will be much smoother and faster if you have a higher ram. When I play, sometimes the character just stood still and when it recovers, the character has been killed! :(

Massage Sexy Ladies

We love to have our own massage session when we are fresh and awake by the time the little ones go to bed. Hubby did mention that if given the opportunity he would want to learn how to massage from any massage therapy schools so that he can massage sexy ladies! I told him, “Can…if he allows me to be massaged by a handsome and muscular hunk.” I think he changed his mind after that. Didn’t hear him saying about going to learn massage anymore. :D

Values Based Counseling

The world is a stressful place to be and yet there is nowhere else we can go. Of course, death is one option but that is not the option that we should consider. Whether at work or at home, there would be possible causes of stress whether we look for it or not. The main difference is how we view the problems that we face. Some people are very good at transforming problems and pressures to their benefits. On the other hand, many people need help to do just that. That is where it is good to go for a therapy. Seeing a therapist does not necessarily connotes a negative thing. And many are looking at this option to help them build a better holistic lifestyle.

Leave in Peace

I did not resign abruptly. It isn’t a good testimony to do that after working for 9 years with the company. So I just called in to inform them that I am taking 1 week leave to mind my children. I hope they will get used to not having me around and will released me without asking me to consider to stay. I felt heavy to leave when my lady boss “beg” me to stay. No matter how stingy they maybe, they do treat me nice most of the time. ;)

Resign Now?

My 2nd girl is getting better from her Chicken Pox. Now the other 2 got the Chicken Pox. My problem is, I can’t leave both of them with MIL and the maid while I go to work. My son is extra clingy especially when he is not feeling well. So I will have to take at least a week off to mind them.

My mom was telling me that since I already plan to resign, why not just resign now. True also as there is only left 2 weeks before month end. I think I’ll drop in the office tomorrow, get some work done like teaching my successor hehe about the renewing of Hakgerakkan and car insurance quote for the boss and bid farewell to everyone.

From then onwards, trusting God to provide me the $$$. :D

Lunch with Aunty Grace

We had lunch with Aunty Grace at Hot & Spicy Restaurant just now. Last week, we were supposed to bring Uncle George and Aunty Grace for lunch but Aunty Grace couldn’t make it because she had knee pain. So we went out with Uncle George only and made another appointment for lunch with both of them today. Unfortunately, Uncle George is not on top of his health today and we ended up going out with Aunty Grace alone. She is the one who gave us the crib bedding after I got my first child.

We had a good time of fellowship with Aunty Grace. We are planning for another lunch or dinner appointment with both of them one day. :D Love chatting with them.

Glad To See YOU

Nowadays, if I come home to see my laptop on my computer table, that is a blessing! These days, hubby often bring along my laptop to his shop to play his Cabal online game. Then arh, if all the PCs in his shop are occupied and there is still customer wanna use the internet, my laptop will be rented to him/her.

I don’t really like the idea of using my laptop as laptop rentals because there are so many personal stuff in here and most password are “remembered” in this laptop. You wouldn’t know when the user will get nosy and snoop around. :(

The Power of the Tongue

James 3:1-18
3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, because you know that we will be judged more strictly.
3:2 For we all stumble in many ways. If someone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect individual, able to control the entire body as well.
3:3 And if we put bits into the mouths of horses to get them to obey us, then we guide their entire bodies.
3:4 Look at ships too: Though they are so large and driven by harsh winds, they are steered by a tiny rudder wherever the pilot’s inclination directs.
3:5 So too the tongue is a small part of the body, yet it has great pretensions. Think how small a flame sets a huge forest ablaze.
3:6 And the tongue is a fire! The tongue represents the world of wrongdoing among the parts of our bodies. It pollutes the entire body and sets fire to the course of human existence – and is set on fire by hell.

3:7 For every kind of animal, bird, reptile, and sea creature is subdued and has been subdued by humankind.
3:8 But no human being can subdue the tongue; it is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
3:9 With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse people made in God’s image.
3:10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. These things should not be so, my brothers and sisters.
3:11 A spring does not pour out fresh water and bitter water from the same opening, does it?
3:12 Can a fig tree produce olives, my brothers and sisters, or a vine produce figs? Neither can a salt water spring produce fresh water.

3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth.
3:15 Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic.
3:16 For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice.
3:17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.
3:18 And the fruit that consists of righteousness is planted in peace among those who make peace.

Found a good article about this here.

A reminder to myself…
…Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. (James 1:19-20)

On Sunday Morning

grass cutter

I continued my grass cutting project. Today is the 3rd day already and I am left with about a quarter more to go. Will be able to complete it by this evening. Then I would have a nice trimmed and flat lawn. :D

Actually I can leave this to the maid to do but I needed to see more greens and need some time alone away from the computer and away from my children to think, talk to God and talk to myself! Surprisingly, my children did not disturb me when I am cutting away.

And YES! I am here on Sunday morning when I should be in church right now. No choice but to skip church today because my 2nd girl is having chicken pox. I already brought her for a short trip to Jusco yesterday’s afternoon for lunch and quick buy and I felt bad after that. I hope the virus was being good yesterday and stayed put.

Child Adoption

Many times when I see homeless children, unwanted children and parentless children, it moves my heart to adopt them if I can afford it.

Last week during church, the speaker shared on how some of the children that they met during their mission trip begged them to bring them home with them so that they can have a home and education. It brought tears to my eyes.

Hubby wanted many children but I don’t think my body can take it anymore. I know my age still permit me to bear another one or two more but my health does not permits it. I can feel that my body is getting weaker after each child birth that it does not recover. :(

Few days ago, hubby asked whether we want to consider adopting a child. We did not discuss further about it because it will take a lot of money, time to go through the process of child adoption and are we really ready to love someone that is not from our own?

If we really go ahead with this idea, I wanna get a digital frame to display all my children’s photo. Once we start with one, I worry that it will become contagious and get more than one child. :D

Love is Blind

So you don’t need diet pills if you are fat. How true is that?

I seen a few on my friends marrying a very fat husband and she is very skinny. They have a happy marriage. But then…

If you are a guy and you are fat, getting a wife is not a big problem if you have a good personality. Most ladies look pass physical appearance but sad to say that most men are not like that. They go for the physical appearance first then personality and character.

That is why diet pills are mostly bought by ladies and not men. Sad isn’t it?

An Evening with Timothy & Evelyn

We have a good time of fellowship at Old Taste Kopitiam with our missionary friend who is back for the school holiday. Interesting stories, eye opening stories and jaw dropping stories. I love being in their presence. They are funny and they are real. They are so down to earth unlike other missionaries that I’ve met before. They only tell you about the good stuff.

With them, we received first hand experience about living the life of a missionary. It kinda prepares us on what we should look forward to when our time comes.

Can’t wait to meet them in Cameron Highland sometime this year! :D

Touching People, Changing Lives

Have you heard that phrase before? Touching People, Changing Lives. That was the Chi Alpha’s USM Christian Fellowship theme when I was in 3rd year if I am not mistaken.

We as a Christian should live up to that phrase. Are the people that we meet and come across in our daily ins and outs are being touched by us? Are they being touch by the Christ-like in us?

Well, honestly, I do not often do that but when opportunity comes, I will try my very best to touch people’s life.

At present God is blessing me abundantly financially. More than I could ever imaging. More than I asked. At first I thought, maybe God is granting my desire to own a new car. But that is kinda selfish to spend on oneself, not that I do not have a car. So hubby was saying, maybe God has something bigger for us that requires us to have more than enough.

So, instead of keeping all the blessing to myself, I spread it around. I started sharing it with a few bloggers. Even at that time the income was just enough for me, I still give. I am so happy when I received emails telling me that my little help has really been a blessing to them. Then God bless me with more!

So I give more to my missionary friends.

Today I made someone VERY HAPPY and lifted up some of her financial burden. I can keep the blessing all to myself but helping others and changing life is my top priority. I will loose some but I won’t die of starvation, people won’t come knocking at my door asking me to pay up my loan, I can still survive with simple lifestyle. Words can’t describe how happy I am that I made someone so happy today. See, I am changing life here. :D

Just now during church, I pledge to God that since He has blessed me so much, I am going to give RM1k a month for 3 months for the church Mission Fund that would be used to the help the less fortunate. That is a lot of money to me but I know there is more from where that came from. My Father in Heaven is richer than thousands of Tycoons in this world. :D (oh ya, when we give our left hand is not supposed to know what our right hand did but I wanna make sure I don’t change my mind last minute! hehe)

Like I wrote in my previous post. We are God’s vessel. When He pours something in it, He is expecting us to do the same. Let us “pour” them to someone else and change life. Wouldn’t you be excited, wouldn’t your life be more meaningful when you know that you are a part of their changed lives? Change for the better of course, not for the worst, ok! =P

Roasted Piglet

piglet

Yummy and Crispy and Fattening!!!

This is one of the reasons that I would attend a Chinese Wedding in a restaurant beside getting to wear my vegan shoes. You don’t get this dish if the wedding dinner  is held in a hotel; non-Halal. ;)

Other that this dish, I love the Cold Dish and Sharks Fin soup which are kinda expensive if we were to order them by the bowl. Since we are paying so much for this dinner, better go for the expensive dishes. :D
