You Have Called Me

Lord light a fire again
I feel new life begin
I’ll stand and testify
Lord new strength abounds in me
Revival set me free
I am brand new

You have called me to Your table
You have called me by name
You know the hunger within my heart
I don’t want to be the same

Lord let Your power grow
Inside my heart I know
I will be changed
Lord Your glory will be shown
My life is not my own
I give it to You

I will seek You with all I am
I will find You in that secret place
Don’t hide Your face from me
When I seek You I will find You

I am brand new
I am brand new

On Slimming and 10 Children

Since hubby starts cycling to work, his tummy starts shrinking too. Since he is slimming down, he has been urging me to start exercising too. Not that I do not want to. I just don’t have the time to exercise. The only way for me to slim down is by popping diet pills.

Unfortunately hubby doesn’t allow me to buy them. He worries of the side effect; especially if it caused infertility. He wants 10 children! I almost jumped out from the car when he told me that! Who wants to take my place?

Cattle and Sheep

I have a neighbour that rare so many cattle and sheep. When it is their meal time, they just let them roam by themselves everywhere that has grass. Seeing their size, I wonder where they get their cattle supplies. They are so skinny. I think the grasses are sufficient but I think they must have a lot of worms in their body. I wonder whether they are selling their meat or bones. :P

Expecting The Unexpected

My life is not my own. I have no control over it. I want this, I want that but it is God who determines what I get and what I don’t get. Many times, what I want does not coincide with His plan for me and He gave something else. Many times I have to take what He gave whether I like it or not. I can’t throw it away and I can’t give it away either. It is mine to keep forever.

Learning to surrender.

Love Yourself

penelope

She was cursed with a pig nose due to her great great grandfather’s sin. The only way to break the curse is when “One of her own learns to love her.”

When we hear that, our first thought will be. Must get her to marry a man of her own kind and that man must love her. Unfortunately, none of her own wants to marry her for who/what she is.

Only when she accepts herself, the curse is broken. Then only her mother realised that if she were to love her daughter for who she is (because her mother is her own kind too, need not be a man), the curse may be broken long time ago.

The moral of the story is…God has made us special. We must learn to accept ourselves and love ourselves. How can you expect others to love you if you don’t love yourself?

Another Broadband Line for Our Internet Cafe

Last week after cleaning our abandon apartment, hubby and I went to check out the cost for another broadband line for our internet cafe. We have 20 computers now and the increased in bandwidth usage, many customers are complaining of slow connection especially when there are a lot of online gamers using.

Is God Punishing Me?

All the things that happened to me lately. Makes me wonder whether God is punishing me for being disobedient. Just like a parent to a child, when they disobey, we will punish them so that they won’t repeat the same so that they will grow up to be a better person.

After reading one article on the same title, Is God Punishing Me? God is not punishing me; He is disciplining me. Well, it is just a better term to use.

According to the article, punishment is giving us what we deserve. That’s God’s job. And if they trust in Jesus, all our punishment was taken care of on the cross.

We should see it as “discipline” or “correction”.

I see it this way; God is discipling me because He cares for me. He notices me. He loves me.

I need a hug from you Lord to assure me that everything will be alright.

Movies at Home

Hubby is in the mood of downloading movies again. And we have been watching movies after movies at home. When we do not have extra to spend, we will just make do with our home theater seating that is our bed instead the stiff theater seats at the cinema.

More movies is coming. Some old ones like The Perfume, Step Up 2 and news ones; Iron Man, National Treasure etc.

Since we are already spending money in paying for the internet, might as well make it to full use. ;)

Bad News

Hubby will have to work full day at his shop (10am to 12am) everyday starting September until he found a new assistant. His current assistant found a new job.

This also means I will be busy too and my children might be neglected by me because I will have to release hubby at the shop for him to rest and take a shower.

Bring them to the shop? Not a good idea. They will turn the place upside down!

We are praying for a trustworthy assistant. God please send one pretty soon. Pretty please.

Compare Car Insurance

All of us know that when spending money we need to get the best out of it. For instance when renewing your car insurance, you need to compare car insurance and get the best rate before flipping open your wallet/purse.

Unfortunately that I did not have the luxury to do because I depended on my dad to renew my car insurance because it is still under his name and for the love of his relatives; he bought it from one of his cousins!

Anyway, it was not that expensive but I am wondering whether I could get it cheaper else where. ;)

Photostate Girl

For the love of my husband, I have decided to be his slave as Photostate Girl every Monday coz we have lots of photostating to do on Monday. Last week, I helped but I wasted lots of his A4 paper too. Almost 100 pages! All because I accidentally touched the wrong bottom and it went to the wrong tray and photocopied the wrong way!

Today, I am smarter and opened the other tray so that even if I accidentally touches the wrong button, there won’t be any paper there.

photostate

see, the bottom tray is opened.

Unfortunately, as a newbie, I still make mistake but not as many as last week! ;)

Maybe hubby would need the business performance management software to evaluate whether he should keep me in his shop or retrench me!

Conned

We are conned; one of the tenants was conned too! They left him alone our apartment not knowing that they have shifted. He did not even know that the deposit that he paid to them was not paid to us! He is cheated. And he is a stranger to them.

We are waiting for them to pay us a sum (for the outstanding utility bills) latest by 10th. If not, we are going to make a police report against them. We told them that. I hope that would make them pay. Hubby was a lawyer before and he knows the hassle of it and hope to settle this out of court.

*sigh*

Hit and Run

Poor Amy. She just bought a brand new car and it got hit by a truck yesterday. I just read from her blog that she just brought the car to a temple in Bangkok for prayer and how her son almost vomited in the car and how furious her hubby would be if that really happen. Now this is even worst than a child’s vomit; a hit and run accident! Thank God she can make claims from the cheap auto insurance that they bought. If not, sure heart pain! Then she would need to make claim for her health insurance then!

I told hubby about it. He was not surprise at all. According to him, driving in Bangkok is worst that driving in KL. I really can’t imagine that. I never dare driving in KL! Anyway, thank God that it is only the car that is injured and lives are saved.

If I were her, I would definitely not buy a new car if I were to live in Bangkok. If got hit, I won’t feel the pinch. But I will make sure to arm myself with health and life insurance! If I am hospitalized, I don’t have to spend much for my hospitalization bill and if I am dead, my children are taken care of financially.

Blogging from Internet Cafe

I have been sleeping early for the past few days and that piled up my work. So here am I at hubby’s internet cafe blogging away. Since today is Monday, it is sure a busy day especially people coming to photocopy, print and fax. Hubby asked me to help with the photocopy and I wasted 94 pages! I think he better let me stick with blogging.

He even left the shop for half an hour to go out for lunch with his friend, leaving his wife in hunger. If got the LCD HDTV, at least watching some love and comedy movies would divert my attention from food! He came back empty handed!

munchies

Well, I will just continue munching my Jacob’s Hi-Cal Vegetables biscuit and cup after cup of Boh Peppermint Tea.

About Apartment Again

Since they cannot afford to pay for the apartment, we suggested they move to our another apartment which is cheaper which is slightly further to the university compared to the existing one but fully furnished compared to the current apartment they are staying in.

They agreed. So went to the apartment to clean and change the floor pvc mat. I bought one whole role of the pvc mat and changed the pvc mat in all the rooms. Balance we used as our outdoor furniture covers.

Unfortunately, they still have not paid the deposit or even this month rental. Promises after promises, still not paid. I guess we will just forget about taking pity of them. We do not want to go to the stress of “begging” for the rental month after month.

Collecting Rental Problem

For the past few years our apartments were being rented by foreign student. At first we thought we would face problem collecting rental from them but surprisingly, there weren’t a month they delayed paying rental.

Unfortunately, this year we did not get any foreign student to rent our apartment. Now, only one apartment is rented out to a group of local students. One day they agreed to rent, they only pay the first month rental and told us that they will pay the deposit of 2 months plus utilities deposit in a week time. We agreed. Unfortunately, until today the deposit is not paid and we are still awaiting for August rental. They have been promising to pay week after week and until today still no payment from them.

We went to meet them a few days ago and they promised to pay yesterday or they move out but when hubby called, they did not answer the call. Even SMS sent, they did not reply. They told us their problem. We want to take pity of them but when they did not answer our calls, that really gave us second thought.

I wish we can just hire Debt Collection agency to collect the rental on our behalf. Anyway, we will give them until tomorrow. If no calls from them, we will just seal the apartment!

Disney Cruises for Honeymoon

Disney cartoons are not just for kids. I know of a couple that loves Disney Characters. They are going to get married soon and they decorated their room with all Disney Characters. From the pillow case to the comforters, from the wardrobe to their mirrors, all Disney. For them, the best honeymoon would be the Disney cruises or a visit to the Disney World. When they have kids later, they could bring them along to visit those places on their n-th honeymoon.

Unique Weddings

End of last month, we attended yet another wedding dinner in the same hotel. It was the wedding of hubby’s niece. That was a very unique wedding in terms of the races. Hubby’s niece is a Chindian; mother Chinese, father Indian. She is married to a Singh; modern ones without the white turban. I thought Indian and Singh cannot get along! :P And her hubby’s relatives comes from all over the around the world (almost); some from UK, France, US, Australia but surprisingly none from India!

Nowadays wedding is quite different than my time; 7 years ago. There will surely be slide shows and dancing. How I wish I can turn back time and insert those two in my wedding. It is so much fun than just sitting down, eating and going around shouting “Yum Sheng” (that’s “Cheers” in Chinese).

Anyway, hubby said that we are not going to do this for our children. We will just have tea-ceremony and a simple wedding reception for close relatives and friends. No church wedding as that is Western culture.

In that case, I will make sure it will be the most beautiful wedding reception ever with the most beautiful Wedding Reception Flower Arrangements that people will talk for months about it! :D

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

mummy

We end our most stressful month (for me at least) by watching The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. This time we went to GSC at Mahkota Parade after our bad experience at GSC, Dataran Pahlawan. And this time we save some moolah by not buying any titbits; no drinks, no popcorn, just the movie ticket at RM9 each.

How’s the movie? I watched The Mummy and The Mummy Return and I don’t quite like Brendan Fraser coz I hate the stupid George of the Jungle movie but this one I like coz it has Michelle Yeoh and Jet Li. That is the only reason I wanna watch the movie; Asian actor. hehe
