Blogging from Internet Cafe

I have been sleeping early for the past few days and that piled up my work. So here am I at hubby’s internet cafe blogging away. Since today is Monday, it is sure a busy day especially people coming to photocopy, print and fax. Hubby asked me to help with the photocopy and I wasted 94 pages! I think he better let me stick with blogging.

He even left the shop for half an hour to go out for lunch with his friend, leaving his wife in hunger. If got the LCD HDTV, at least watching some love and comedy movies would divert my attention from food! He came back empty handed!

munchies

Well, I will just continue munching my Jacob’s Hi-Cal Vegetables biscuit and cup after cup of Boh Peppermint Tea.

About Apartment Again

Since they cannot afford to pay for the apartment, we suggested they move to our another apartment which is cheaper which is slightly further to the university compared to the existing one but fully furnished compared to the current apartment they are staying in.

They agreed. So went to the apartment to clean and change the floor pvc mat. I bought one whole role of the pvc mat and changed the pvc mat in all the rooms. Balance we used as our outdoor furniture covers.

Unfortunately, they still have not paid the deposit or even this month rental. Promises after promises, still not paid. I guess we will just forget about taking pity of them. We do not want to go to the stress of “begging” for the rental month after month.

Collecting Rental Problem

For the past few years our apartments were being rented by foreign student. At first we thought we would face problem collecting rental from them but surprisingly, there weren’t a month they delayed paying rental.

Unfortunately, this year we did not get any foreign student to rent our apartment. Now, only one apartment is rented out to a group of local students. One day they agreed to rent, they only pay the first month rental and told us that they will pay the deposit of 2 months plus utilities deposit in a week time. We agreed. Unfortunately, until today the deposit is not paid and we are still awaiting for August rental. They have been promising to pay week after week and until today still no payment from them.

We went to meet them a few days ago and they promised to pay yesterday or they move out but when hubby called, they did not answer the call. Even SMS sent, they did not reply. They told us their problem. We want to take pity of them but when they did not answer our calls, that really gave us second thought.

I wish we can just hire Debt Collection agency to collect the rental on our behalf. Anyway, we will give them until tomorrow. If no calls from them, we will just seal the apartment!

Disney Cruises for Honeymoon

Disney cartoons are not just for kids. I know of a couple that loves Disney Characters. They are going to get married soon and they decorated their room with all Disney Characters. From the pillow case to the comforters, from the wardrobe to their mirrors, all Disney. For them, the best honeymoon would be the Disney cruises or a visit to the Disney World. When they have kids later, they could bring them along to visit those places on their n-th honeymoon.

Unique Weddings

End of last month, we attended yet another wedding dinner in the same hotel. It was the wedding of hubby’s niece. That was a very unique wedding in terms of the races. Hubby’s niece is a Chindian; mother Chinese, father Indian. She is married to a Singh; modern ones without the white turban. I thought Indian and Singh cannot get along! :P And her hubby’s relatives comes from all over the around the world (almost); some from UK, France, US, Australia but surprisingly none from India!

Nowadays wedding is quite different than my time; 7 years ago. There will surely be slide shows and dancing. How I wish I can turn back time and insert those two in my wedding. It is so much fun than just sitting down, eating and going around shouting “Yum Sheng” (that’s “Cheers” in Chinese).

Anyway, hubby said that we are not going to do this for our children. We will just have tea-ceremony and a simple wedding reception for close relatives and friends. No church wedding as that is Western culture.

In that case, I will make sure it will be the most beautiful wedding reception ever with the most beautiful Wedding Reception Flower Arrangements that people will talk for months about it! :D
