As parents, no matter how much we love our children, we cannot give in to all their wants and desires. We will spoil them. I know of a parent that gave in to everything that the son wants and he ended up in drug rehab centre and until today, his father can’t comprehend why his son could do that to him.

I am not saying that I am perfect in disciplining my children. I am still learning and I am still caning when the need arises. I do not want them to end up needing drug rehab or alcohol rehab. Many times if I am in a generous mood, I always give in to their wants. Especially when it comes to buying toys for them. But when it comes to manners and bad characters, I don’t a give chance. Like how my parent brought me up.
