On My 34th Birthday

us

I am 34 already. How times flies!

So what did we do on my birthday? From breakfast till lunch till tea time, we were together as a family. We had dim sum for breakfast, waffle and ice-cream for lunch and Big Apple Donuts for tea time.

For dinner, I cooked Fried Bee Hoon then went out dating with my dear hubby. No movies that we like to watch, so we just hang around and chat at Dataran MBMBB.

We had Satay Celup for supper and bought a sponge cheese cake home to let our children sing birthday song to me, blow the candle for me and cut the cake with me.

What did I get for my birthday? It was totally a surprise gift. I thought it was the Wayfarer sunglasses but it is not. It was something that he wanted to get me all this while but I refrained him from doing so. ;)

I Prayed For It!

The reason behind all the vomiting is because of ME, ME and ME! I prayed for it.

FYI, I vomited again last night after eating 4 Cuttlefish balls and a glass of Blackcurrant and Apple Ribena. I thought my morning sickness period is over but NO! I vomited last night. I think the balls have gone bad. I bought it many months ago but they are kept frozen, I wonder why my tummy doesn’t want to accept them. I have no problem with drinking Ribena because I drank it quite frequent.

Out of the blue, the Holy Spirit reminded me of my prayer that I prayed once I found out that I am pregnant. My prayer was that God will bless my son with lots of NFL Merchandise! No lar…just kidding. :P

I prayed that God will only allow healthy and nutritious food in my body. This is because I know that I lack discipline when it comes to eating during pregnancy. I whack every food that I like to eat, never thinking the consequences on the baby in my tummy or my pregnant body.

That is why I vomited often!

Well, I should thank God that I vomited eh? It is for my own good rather than complaining about it! In the first place, I asked for it and our God answers prayer! :D

What Do I Want For My Birthday

My birthday is just around the corner. Hubby has been asking what do I want for my birthday. When he first asked, I was prepared with my answer; a watch because my one and only watch decided to RIP after 10 years of serving me.

As the days goes by, I decided that I can live without a watch. So, what is next in my want list? Well, I have this craving to eat the Singapore Bee Hoon from one of the restaurant in PD. To PD we will go this Sunday! :D

What do I really want for my birthday? A vacation oversea!

Unfortunately, the time is not here for me to do that. Maybe one day I will without much thought whether I should buy travel insurance or not.

Starting My Own Business Soon

I am going to make full use of hubby’s shop to earn some extra income. After discussing with my mom, she agreed to help me bake Nyonya Pineapple Tarts and she also suggested that I sell cut fruits at hubby’s shop since we have a fridge there.

This weekend will be my youngest sister’s wedding dinner and we are going to serve Nyonya Pineapple Tarts as appetizer instead of the usual; peanuts. And I am going to slip my business card at the bottom of the plate stating that the tarts are for sale too!

Good idea or not? :D

Since I don’t have much and not a risk taker to try online trading even though I read so much about it, I shall try food business. ;)

Missing Jr.

I had a pet dog name Jr. I fell in love with him the moment my dad brought him home. My dad found him near the jungle on the way back from his working place.

That night he was crying because he was all alone and scared. The moment he sees me coming to comfort him, he snuggles close to me. That moment I just knew that he is God sent to me.

Unfortunately, he died at a young age. We still do not know the cause of his death. My dad said, maybe he ate poison; rat poison from the paddy field.

Since then I couldn’t find any dog to replace him. No other dogs could touch my heart like he does. So I never have any dog until this day. Whenever I go shopping and see those dog supplies, I will be reminded of him because on that fatal day, I brought home a can of dog food for him for the very first time! All this while he ate our leftovers. :(

Christmas Party Games for Adult

I am in a Christmas mood now. It all started with my girls watching Barbie Christmas Carol 2 days ago and again today. Then they starting singing and humming the Christmas Carols, I watched movie about Christmas on Hallmark and reading about other bloggers preparation for Christmas.

Are you wondering what my Christmas preparation for this year is? Nothing except making sure that my girls got the courage to go up on the stage as sheep for the Nativity Play during Christmas service. I won’t be buying any Christmas present because the church I am currently attending does not practice exchanging of gifts. It is not a bad thing because to some, this might be a burden.

However some of the church members will hold Christmas party at their home. For the past few years, I only experienced one Christmas party where there are games for the adult. It was so much fun than just eating, chatting and watching the children play.

So, if any of you are going to have a Christmas part this year, please do prepare some Christmas games for the adult. No idea on what games to play? Check out the Christmas Party Ideas from Celebrations.com. I am sure your guess will never forget your Christmas party.

Still not thinking in BM

Hubby may be able to get use the BM/English service but not me. I am ok with the sermons in BM/English but not the worship. I just can’t worship with BM songs. Malay is my first language but now, it is no longer my mother tongue. I think in English most of the time. Whatever I hear in Malay, my brain will automatically translates them to English!

For example, yesterday when I was at the government clinic doing my first check-up with them, I was asked, “Suami kamu bekerja dekat mana?” My mind translate the “dekat” to “near” whereby the actual meaning of word that the nurse meant was “at” (i only realised it when i see my clinic book!). So instead of giving hubby’s shop address, I told her that he works near Giant!

I dunno lar. Maybe I did not try hard enough.

Baby Will Stay

I bled yesterday! Thank God everything is ok now even though I still have some stain today. I was summoned to bed rest but with 3 children, that is quite impossible. I still have to lift my 2.5yo son from time to time. Not carrying him but lift him to get into the car and out of the car, lift him to let him see prepare milk for him, lift him to pass motion on the sitting toilet and lift him to sit on the chair to eat his dinner.

We still don’t know the real cause to the bleeding. No! I have not been taking any diet pills. So far, I only swallow calcium and vitamin C. Maybe I ate too much longan that night!

I have gone through so much this 4 months because this isn’t an easy pregnancy and I am not letting go now. God, please strengthen my womb and let me carry baby till full term.

Still Not Rented

Even the ground floor has been rented but not ours!

Am ranting about hubby’s apartment again. Student does not prefer ground floor because they are dirty. We were surprised to learn from the real estate agent that all 4 vacant ground floor apartment has all been rented.

Hubby had call yesterday and we were pretty convince that they will rent our apartment. We went to meet them but they have no cash to pay for the deposit yet. Told us that they will call today to inform me what time to meet them at the apartment to collect the deposit. When they left, I had the feeling that they will not call.

True enough, none of them call me.

We kinda gave up and will let the real estate agent help us out. Too tired driving there so many times and no deal. :(

Diet Pill

Have you ever tried taking diet pill? I tried slimming patch before courtesy of my ex-boss but was not too desperate on the pills because I wasn’t that fat. My ex-colleague tried some diet pills and it works for her. She managed to shed off some excess fat and her hubby was quite happy about it. Even volunteer to buy more for her! I don’t think my hubby will do that. He will tell me to get my butt up and head to the beach for a jog every evening if possible.

Hubby’s Apartment is Cursed?

Hubby has been wondering the reason that it is so difficult to get his apartment rented even though the location is much better than my apartment. Many student called and viewed the apartment, some almost agreed but the next day, they decided not to rent it. Our price is the same as the rest but WHY no one wants to rent it???

Hubby figured that the last tenant might have cursed the apartment! Because we gave them hard time for not paying the utility bills that comes up to almost RM600! They are Malays you see.

We are praying that God will break the curse if any and bless us with good tenant soon.

A foreign student might want to view his apartment today. Please pray with us that he will rent it.

Staying Put This Christmas

Looks like our plan to travel up to Ipoh to celebrate Christmas with BIL and SIL this year is just a plan and won’t become a reality. I feel sad. What to do, we are still waiting for God’s blessing. Eh, btw, anyone that just had windfall from las vegas, share share lar with us. :P

Hubby’s car is giving problem now. It jerks every time the car slows down and when the weather is hot and the air-cond is switched on, when the car slows down, the engine will die off. My car’s air-cond is no longer working! We really need to get a better car.

*sigh*

His Birthday Present This Year

He knew what I wanted for my coming birthday and his birthday is 16 days after mine but I have no idea what to give him. He has almost everything that he wanted and being a simple guy, he only wants the basic things in life. That makes it more difficult for me to buy gift for him. Maybe I should check out the sports gifts since he likes sports. A brand new football shoe? A brand new knee guard? A brand new football socks?

After 2 Months

cycle

Hubby finally get the chance to cycle to work again.

This week, one of his part-timer is working from 6pm - 10pm. So he can cycle to work and cycle back home before night fall and drive back to the shop at 10pm.

This time, it got nothing to do with saving petrol but to exercise.

I hope that this will help him gain back his good health and slim down a lil bit! ;)

Health is More Important Than Money Now

Finally after a month hubby is back to his normal state of health but he is health is still very fragile. He is seriously thinking of employing a full time worker because if things go on like this; him working full day almost everyday, his health might be affected. He can feel that he is not as fit as before. If he can’t find a worker soon, he need to depend on might not sustain that long energy pills to keep him going!

Free WiFi at KFC

Hubby’s internet shop is located near Giant Hypermarket where one of it tenants is Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant. When KFC just started operating, there is no free WiFi given out to their customers. A few months back, hubby noticed that a few students were sitting outside his shop using their laptops and accessing the internet. He was surprised as his shop does not offer any wireless connection services. Later he found out that the students are using the free WiFi connection by KFC.

Now, if I am the owner of KFC, this is a matter that should be taken seriously. I am sure KFC is offering the free WiFi as an incentive to attract customers to surf the net at their premise and at the same time they will buy some food or drinks. Well, this is an extra services that I am sure customers would appreciate. However, if the extra services can be used without the need to buy anything from KFC, it would definitely defeat the purpose of offering the extra services.

Hubby informed the manager about it but until now nothing has been done about it. Of course, the manager is not an expert in IT and would not know how to solve the problem. KFC should engage a reliable IT company like new york it services to ensure the setting up of the free WiFi is done correctly. Or maybe KFC should just pay hubby to do it for them. :D

Frustrated Because I can’t Vomit

You feel that your stomach is bloated.
You feel that your body is full of gas and is pushing to go out from your throat.

You feel like vomiting but all you can do is gag; nothing comes out.
It still stuck inside.

That feeling really sucks. I have been gagging all day but I can’t vomit.

I WANT TO VOMIT.

Because I will feel much better after that.

Later in the day hubby told me that during church, the pastor shared a testimony about her niece that often vomit during her pregnancy and they prayed for her.

Hubby prayed for me. He prayed that I will not vomit the food I ate so that the baby will have enough nutrition!

No wonder I suffered that whole day!!! :P

NFL Jerseys To Work???

How do you dressed to work? Basic common sense requires you to match your dressing style to your kind of job. You don’t, and it would be idiotic to wear a beautiful dress if you work in the automobile repair shop. And you don’t wear short pants and short sleeve T-shirt to work if you are working as the 5 stars hotel receptionist or bell boy. Common sense dictated it that you wear appropriate work clothing when working.
