New Year Eve

I feel that this year ends very fast. It is an exiting year for me with many ups and downs. In all this I saw God’s faithfulness. I am looking forward to next year because there are more challenges awaiting me in which I am trusting that God will hold my hand throughout next year too like He always do.

So, how are you going to usher the New Year? Hubby will be attending the Watch Night service in church. I am not so sure whether I will be going because my eldest is still feverish. We will have steamboat at my parent’s home tonight.

After that, I think I’ll just stay home and think about my New Year Resolution. One of them will definitely be a family vacation; maybe we can’t afford the Vegas vacations but anywhere locally is fine with me as long as we go as a family. :)

Home Alone

When hubby was still working full time in church, I dread the day when he has to travel oversea. There was 3 different occasions where I was left at home while he went for his mission trip oversea. First time was when we were newly wed. That time I missed him terribly because I have to sleep all alone in our king size bed. Second time when I was pregnant during my last trimester. I was so worried that I will have to drive to the hospital all by myself to give birth. Third time, it was 3 days after I gave birth to my son; he flew to Philippines for 10 days! Thank God I did my confinement at my parent’s house; so he wasn’t needed that much. :P

No Pressie For Us

This year I didn’t get any Christmas present for my dear hubby and I didn’t get any too. I was secretly hoping that he would buy me a watch which he did not, for my birthday. Oh well, I am not complaining. I believe in His time I can even afford to buy his the pop up tv.

Meantime, we thank God that we still have food to eat, a very nice and comfortable home to stay and a business to run. :D

Merry Christmas

Christmas isn’t that Merry for us this year. But we are glad that our children are very happy with their Christmas presents. The only present that we can afford to buy this year. No present for others though. Sorry ya; next year if the Lord blesses us with more income.

With the amount of daily sales, it seems that hubby won’t bring home any salary this month! And my blogging income is less than RM1k! *sigh* And we spent a lot this month; weddings, funerals, repairs, CNY clothings and school books.

Hubby received offers to become partner to start another internet cafe but we just don’t have the means to do so. If we have, I think I can even start coffee franchises!

Mamma Mia! Our Last Summer

I love the movie! And the songs…love it! love it! love it! I grew up listening to ABBA. My first English songs. :)

In the movie, Pierce Brosnan spoil the song. He cannot sing ABBA song! His voice just does not fit in. He can be Bond, the lover, the father but not a singer! But he still looks soooooo handsome after all this years. He is another version of Richard Gere! :D

Just listen to this one…

It started so beautiful with Colin Firth singing it but once Pierce Brosnan came it. Alamak!

I Prayed. He Answered My Prayer.

Praise God that one of the advertisers that I used to work with, is back in business with me! 3 months ago, his boss put everything on hold because they were cheated by bloggers before; links should be up for a year but after getting the money, the bloggers took it down. In order to be on the safe side, they stopped accepting blogs from me. They wanna see whether those bloggers I recommended will keep their words.

After 3 months and I am totally broke, I shoot an email to him asking about it and PTL! he wants more blogs from me and now the deal is much better for the bloggers. Even PR0 is accepted but with lower pay which is so much better than none. Previously, they only accept PR2 and above.

I hope with the extra cash that I will receive, I would be able to bring my children for a short holiday by the beach and upgrade my laptop memory. :D

Isn’t our God great. I was whining the other day to hubby that my income this month is gonna be worst than last month and we won’t have enough to pay our bills. He told me, “Why don’t you just pray?” Well, I did just that. :D

On His 36th Birthday

For the first time since we got married, hubby works on his birthday. Poor birthday boy. Thank God he only starts work at 2pm so we got sometime to have birthday lunch together; just us and KFC! His pick, not mind and I paid for it; only 15 cents because I used the vouchers I got from Bonuslink. ;)

After lunch, I managed to sneak into a cake shop nearby to buy him a birthday cake (more for our children). Unfortunately, he has no time spared to sing birthday song and blow the candles. And he will only be back tomorrow (after 12 midnight) and our children will be fast asleep.

The moment our children saw the cute lil cake, they wanted to stick in the candles, look for matches and make me light it. So I got an idea. Armed with my digital camera. They sing the birthday song for their daddy and blow the candles for their daddy. All recorded on video. They even ate the cake first!

In the evening, I sneaked out while they were taking their nap to hubby’s shop and showed him the video. :)

I did buy him a birthday present which I thought I wouldn’t. Walked over to Giant and saw a nice black jean. Another gift awaiting him after he come home tonight. :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR HUSBAND!

Healed Ankles

Hubby skipped football again today because his ankle is not fully healed and he does not want to take the risk of it being sprained again. For me, it took me months to heal when I sprained my ankle and I thought I had Plantar Fasciitis because every morning, I can’t step my foot to walk on the floor.

Thank God with much prayer and help from fellow hostelmate that massages my foot almost everyday, I can walk again without much discomfort.

Sad

I feel sad that the burden of earning for the family is on hubby’s shoulder now. Sales were not good last month and this month would be slow too due to the school holiday. Hubby did mention a few times that if I am still working, he can do this and do that with his income. Now we are depending on his income, so he can’t spend in on his business to buy more computers and office furniture.

He makes me feel regretful quitting my job! :( If I want to go back to work, no one would employ me, because I am pregnant now. I have already reduced our expenses by sending our girls to cheaper kindy, reducing my mom’s allowance, less shopping trip, no new clothes for my girls except for special occasion.

How? Still not enough?

Worst come to worst, I will go back to work after my No. 4 is 6 months old and leave them under the care of the maid while I am at work.

Sometimes I wonder why we women would be willing to sacrifice our dreams for the sake of the family but not the men.
