Most people do their spring cleaning before CNY. We did our before the CNY but it was just a minor ones because I was not fit enough for it and hubby has to work the whole week before the CNY. A week after the CNY, hubby was home most of the day time and he decided to clean up the store house. They (hubby and the children) found lots of treasure. One of them is one of those schuberth helmets. We thought it has gone missing. The children got lots of “new” toys. And they threw away lots of broken toys too. I have a bonnet full of soft toys to be given away!

SIL who lives in Sydney, Australia managed to persuade her mom to stay with them for 2 months instead of just 2 weeks. That’s good news for me. At least I have another month to really recover from child birth and adjust to my new life being a mother of 6 before I start my DIL duty; cooking for MIL. It is like I am getting 2 months maternity leave. If can get another month even better. It is because, it took me 100 days to really settle down with my newborn based on previous experience with my other children. Oh well, 2 months is better than 1 month.

Before Christmas, it rained almost everyday and I can’t get my clothing especially my babies’ inserts (for cloth diapers) dry. On Boxing Day, the dry New Year wind started blowing together with the heat. It gets hotter each day since that day. Windy, hot and humid. I have to switch on the air-cond everyday for at least 1-2 hours to be able to nap or sleep.
Looking at polaris pool products made me want to build a swimming pool at my home. Unfortunately, we do not that the moolah for it. Got land, no money. Some people, got money, no land.

Angpows (red packet) have been given and collected. It is getting lesser each year for each child. I think arh, because I have 5 of them, some visitors dare not ask the mommy or daddy “how many children you have?” then gave the angpow to the parents to give to their children. Instead they only give to the children that they saw. hehe.
Due to having many children also makes me feel shy to bring all my children to go for visitation. This year, we limit our rounds to only those “compulsory” to visit relative. And I don’t give out many angpows too. If I see other in laws have given to that certain family that came to visit MIL, I’ll will not give. If not, they will feel obliged to return the favor. They only have 2 to 3 children compared to mine; 5 of them! I don’t want them to “rugi” hahaha. Next year lagi teruk for them; I’ll have 6!

As children we look forward to Chinese New Year because that will be the day we can get lots of cash. As parents, I don’t really look forward to CNY coz that will be the day we give away lots of cash. hehe. Anyway, thank God for His blessings. We received more than we gave.
For the past few days, my children have been discussing on how to spend their angpows collection and asking me permission to spend them. My eldest wanted to buy a doll house, my 2nd girl, jewelry and make up set and my boys wanted the revell model kits. Will they get what they wanted? Of course, NOT! We need to save money for their homeschooling materials. Homeschooling is cheaper if you have many children but it requires a lot of investment to begin.

Thanks for the post, Vernon Lowe
Every time I try to get on my computer or the phone, my cat seems to get extra interested in what I’m doing – it never fails. The other morning when I pulled out my laptop and tried to look at http://www.expertsatellite.com/, he immediately walked over to me and repeatedly tried to climb in my lap. Ok, cat – first of all, the computer is in my lap, so that leaves no room for you. Second, I can’t really type with you laying on both my arm and the keyboard. Each and every time he tries to get on my lap, I push him off, but that doesn’t keep him from trying again. He also has these little dagger paws; they look soft and furry, but when one shoots straight into your abdomen, it turns into a weapon. It always turns into sort of a showdown. Sometimes I give up if he is persistent enough and let him snuggle up on my side. There are other times when he gives up and gets in his bed with his back to me, pouting like a child.

and also The Year of the Lord’s Vengeance. This is our church theme for this year.
Everyone wants the Lord’s favor. How to get it? “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matt 6:33.
I hope that the Lord’s favor will be upon my family this year. Really, really!
At times I feel tired and frustrated living with just enough and sometimes not enough.
Many times I want to go back to work but with 5 children and one more coming. I have to really bury the thoughts of going back to work.
I pray that something impossible will be made possible if God allows it.

All hubby’s nieces and nephews residing in Malaysia are back here to play with each other again. This is the time I hardly see my children’s face all at once! They will be all over the place. Some playing outdoor, some playing ps3, psp and even the ps3 headset! Some just hanging around under the durian tree chatting away. This is also the time, my youngest will be less clingy to me. She will be entertained by everything that is happening around her. Good for me coz I can hardly walk if I have to carry her due to the pain in my tummy.

With no maid around, I have to do some spring cleaning myself to prepare for the CNY.
Due to my health condition, I can only do some minor ones like cleaning the window panes and wiping the dust and lizard shit stain from our wooden walls. The dust on the ceiling fan will have to stay until someone besides myself is free enough/willing to get them clean. I do not want to risk loosing my baby just because of a few dusty ceiling fan.
Even cleaning the window panes, I did climb on a chair with much prayer. My hubby doesn’t know this. If not sure will get scolding. Well, he doesn’t want to do, I do lar. He got free time, either he will be snoring away or playing games on the internet. Can’t he sacrifice that just for this CNY?

Get a screw driver, unscrew the screws from the switch plate be it a plastic ones or an oak switch plate all must have screw right and then fix the new switch plate.
I hope it is as easy as that. Actually, I have no idea on how to change a switch plate!
Does it involve any wiring? Anyway, I am gonna learn it tomorrow coz hubby has a switch plate to change. The switch is not working so we are going to get a new switch plate. Then I’ll share it here ok.

My recent visit to the clinic made me worried a lil bit about my pregnancy. The ultrasound showed that my due date is 3 weeks later than the actual date. During my first ultrasound at 13 weeks, the due date is according to my last menses date; very accurate. I worried that the baby in my womb is not growing well. I hope that the Dr is wrong in her calculation. Or my baby is just smaller in size this time around coz I have been on my toes most of the time and less appetite too. We will know by this Feb 2nd coz I have to go to GH for follow up check up to confirm the due date.
I have been having backaches for more than a month and it went away completely 2 days ago! Unfortunately, pain still has not leave my body; the backache is being replaced with lower abdomen cramp. The feeling is like I’m almost going to due like that. Kinda weird coz, scanned due date is delayed but I’m having the signs that baby is coming out soon! I hope he won’t coz he has 3 more months to float around his life in my womb.
Please pray with me that everything will be alright.

Not everyone is blessed with a smooth and easy pregnancy. Praise God that my previous 5 went well. It wasn’t as smooth and easy as some experienced but it was bearable. Now my 6th one is making me a lil bit worried. I just hope that I won’t need the air ambulance service to fly me to the nearest hospital anytime soon. I believe God is in control in all situation in my life. I have learned a lot from previous trials and temptations and each time I see God’s hand working in my life thru those challenges. It made me a better person; a better wife and a better mother.

December 2011 passed by like a speed of the light. Our family gathering fell on hubby’s birthday. He did not get the quiet birth day like previous years. Thank God his siblings did not forget his birthday. He had a combined birthday cake blowing that night. Time was too short for me to buy one of those titanium bracelets for men. He did mention that we can still celebrate with each other after the family gathering is over but we just couldn’t find the time until today. Looks like there won’t be any belated birthday celebration for him. Well, he will hit the big FOUR ZERO this year. I must plan something special for him.

What was my 2011 resolution? I don’t think I make any!
Well, for this year I want to make one and I’ll try to make it more achievable.
For myself - Read the Word of God at least one chapter before I start my busy day.
For my husband - Help him save and earn as much as I could.
For my children - Speak gently to them. No screaming and no yelling.
For my family - Cook more yummilicious food.
That’s it.
What about yours?
