More Toys To Compensate Mommy’s Forgetfulness

To compensate my forgetfulness about his 5th birthday, I allowed my son to spend his birthday angpow money to buy a few kids games of his choice. He bought a kite but got no chance to play with it yet because daddy is busy working in the evening and no one can bring him to the beach to fly his kite. He bought 2 water guns to play with his 2yo brother and a set of shooting jets. We also brought him to McD for dinner on his birthday.

Forgot Son’s Birthday

For the first time after 8 years of having children, I forgotten one of my children’s birthday and he is my firstborn son. Months before his birthday, I did plan to have a birthday party for him and get the jungle gym installation connecticut to put up a swing and slide set in our backyard for his friends to play. Unfortunately when his birthday month came, I was down with mastitis, my MIL was hospitalised due to appendicitis and one of my nieces was hospitalised for a day due to a deep cut on her nose bridge. Due to all those, I totally forgotten about my son’s birthday. If not for my hubby who told us about it on the day after he came home from the hospital, I will totally forgotten about his birthday day.

Stingy Mode

My hubby is on a stingy mode now. No more dining out after church with the children anymore. Can only dine out with the children on special occasion only. That will be probably less than 10 times a year. I have no say coz I do not bring home the bread anymore. In time like this, how I wish I am still earning my own income.

8 years old girl prays

When my eldest daughter was in my tummy, we showered her with lots of prayer. After she is born, we prayed for her and with her. When she can talk, we taught her to pray. We encourage her to pray and pray for her siblings and us too. At 8 years old, she started to pray for herself and her siblings out of her own initiative. She will teach them to pray and lead them in prayer too.

I just discovered this a few days ago when checking them minutes after sending the to bed. Just before entering their room, I heard my eldest asking her brother and sister to pray along with her. I am so proud of her!

Pondan in English

What is Pondan in English? Pondan, also known as Shemales or Transvestites are commonly found in Thailand. Maybe because they are more daring to dress up like a woman. The Shemales in Thailand are very beautiful; more beautiful than the females! In Malaysia, there are Pondan too but many tried their very best to live as a man. I was surprised to find out that one of my mom’s nephews is a transvestite. Unfortunately, he is more into his feminine side. He dresses up like a girl. If you ask him what is testosterone? He will tell you that he lacks of it with a very sad look. I have an uncle who is a lil bit sissy but Thank God he was strictly brought up like a man and he did not mingle around with people like him. He is a lil bit softy but he did not dress up like a girl.

Birthday Treat for My Firstborn

My firstborn daughter turned 8 years old yesterday. Instead of bringing everyone out for a dinner, we brought her alone; just mommy, daddy, baby and herself. It is her special day and we granted her wants. She wanted to eat wedding food. We treat her with these yummilicious dishes.

sweet sour pork

Sweet and Sour Pork

salad chicken

Fragrance Chicken Salad

cheese beehoon

Creamy Cheese Beehoon with Tiger Prawn

seafood fried rice

 Seafood Fried Rice

I bought for her a roller skate and a book, Big Nate (she has been requesting me to buy her this book for quite sometime already).

roller skate

We still walk around on a polished, black cement flooring. Dunno when we can afford to change to pergo flooring. ;)

big nate

The Malay book is an incentive when she did well in her Chinese spelling.

But she told me that she preferred the book more than the roller skate and wanted to spend her birthday Angpow money to buy more books. Since I have RM50 MPH voucher, we brought her to MPH to buy some books of her choice. She got all these and paid RM44.70 on top of the RM50 vouchers.

books

While at MP, she couldn’t resist the smell of freshly baked Famous Amos cookies, so we allowed her to buy 100g of it. If on other days, I would tell her that I will bake for her later. Not worth the money spent for just a 100g.

That’s about it. You know what, I still remember the labour pain that I had to go through to give birth to this beautiful daughter of mine. It was the toughest and most painful birth out of 5. Hubby still remembered the “dirty job” that he did.

Indoor Playground

The weather is extremely hot in the afternoon these days. Even at 6pm, the sun is still shining brightly and burns the skin. By the time the sun sets, it is their bath time already; no more playing outdoor. As much as possible, I will not allow my children to play outdoor unless it is a cloudy day.

Then come the task of keeping them occupied indoor. If I just let them play on their own, they will turn the hall room or their bedroom upside down! I wish we can afford to buy the indoor school equipment like the slide, swing or the playhouse. Since we can’t afford it, they are currently using the cushion to make playhouse. The bed as slide and baby’s cradle as their swing!

Planning for Mother’s Day Dinner

It is the month of April already and we have about one month to plan for Mother’s Day. Yesterday, one of my SILs suggested that we do a BBQ on Mother’s Day but I told her that I prefer Steamboat because it needs less preparation and it is healthier too compared to BBQing. That’s for my MIL. As for my own mom, I think we’ll just bring her out for a nice dinner in town and maybe share with my sibling to buy her a mother day jewelry. And for myself, I would love to enjoy 2 hours of foot reflexology without my baby in my arms and a nice bouquet of roses from hubby. ;)

Arghhh! Don’t Do This To Mommy!

Last week we spent RM300 to get a new lens for my eldest girl’s glasses. In which I have to postpone changing my lens to next month because my budget is only RM300. Didn’t expect that my girl needs bifocal lens.

Just now, my 23mo broke his 2nd sister’s spectacle frame. I was super duper upset because it means that I have to spend another RM300 to get a new frame and lens. We are way over budget this month.

Thank God with the help of super glue and a thread, I managed to fix the frame. I hope that it will stay intact for at least a month.

Looks like Mommy’s lens have to wait for another 2 months time. And intention to buy a diamond pendant for myself from Diamonds International Jewelry Barbados will have to be postponed until further notice. ;)

Taken Advantage

I do not like being taken advantage of. When she started being nice to me, I know there must be something that she wants. True enough, she has been taking advantage of our silence. Well, I cannot say much here. Got a lot of spy around. How much I bought the Danze faucets, they will also know. Well, as long as she does not go way overboard. I shall keep my mouth shut.

Gong Xi Fa Cai

We had a joyous Chinese New Year this year. On the Chinese New Year’s Eve, the children had so much fun helping the adult wash the floor. We still have the black polished cement flooring; still waiting for laminate flooring sale to get a new flooring. Later that evening, we had our sumptuous reunion dinner consist of all the Nyonya food that you can think about. We ended the day with fireworks display to welcome the Year of the Golden Rabbit.

Need Fresher Bedroom

As most of you have already known, I just give birth to a baby girl last week. She is my 5th child! Surprise eh? Well, I am surprised myself that I actually got the courage to go through 5 child birth which I feared the most after I said “I do” at the altar. ;)

Praise God for a beautiful and healthy baby. She came out so pink and with smooth skin. Unfortunately, with the hot and humid weather now, she has rashes due to the heat. How I wish I have a home dehumidifier to expel contaminated air and to improve the our room air quality.

Chinese New Year Preparation

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. My MIL is busy making Love Letter (Kuih Belanda). She has also made some Kuih Bakul last week. My eldest SIL was around for 2 days and she helped make the Acar Chilli (Chilli Pickles). More cookies coming like Kuih Rose and Kuih Bangkit. Too bad this year I won’t be chipping in any cookies. I just need to look for the best diet pills for women after all the CNY feasting.

Hubby has just upgraded our outdoor pangkin; it has a roof now. :) And hubby’s eldest brother wanna make a better pangkin with nicer structure and roofing which will cost money! Hubby only spent money buying nails. Anyway, he is willing to sponsor the cost and only needs his brothers’ labor. ;)

No Travel Plan for 2011

2011 is here. No travel plan this year though. Last year’s travel plans did not materialize because of hubby’s busyness with work. Business is not that busy. It is just that we do not have staff to cover for hubby when he is away. Maybe we will try to go some where near and new with the help of BIL’s portable gps this year. It will really be a challenge to travel with so many kids. I can’t wait for the day when we can leave all the kids behind and go for our 2nd honeymoon. This year we are going to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary but we will be stuck at home minding our beautiful children. :)

Smartphone

Today is my 2nd daughter’s birthday. She turns 6 today. Exactly a week from today, it will be her daddy’s birthday. It is easy to buy birthday gift for children but not for adult unless you have lots of money. :P Most of the things that an adult wants would cost hundred of dollars or even thousand. If I am still working, I might get for hubby the htc desire smartphone. Since I am a SAHM without much income, I can’t even afford to buy him a hundred dollar cellphone! :(

Missing My Girls

This is the first time my girls left me for 3D2N. I miss hearing them screaming for “Mommy” when they fight with each other. My home feels empty without them even though I still have my 2 boys with me. No one standing beside me when I surf the net or reading reviews about cheapestautoinsurance.net. No one pestering me to let her play computer. No one come complaining to me about this and that.

I should be enjoying the peace and quiet right? Sadly I am can’t. Those things are “music” to my ears already and life is so dull without music. ;)

Fobia of Winding Roads

My girls are in Cameron Highland now. They were there since yesterday and will be back tomorrow. I called them every day; day and night! My mom told me that my eldest vomited twice on the way up there due to the winding roads. Just now I got a call from my eldest girl, almost in tears telling me that she is scared that she will vomit again tomorrow on the way down from Cameron Highland. The car that they are travelling in is as good as the fort lauderdale car rental but I guess she must be looking at the side view during the journey. I too will get dizzy when I look at the side so I told her that if she cannot sleep, to focus in front only and not to look at the side. My mom told me that they might let her sit beside BIL who is driving since my sister is sitting behind with her baby. After this, I doubt she would want to go Cameron Highland or Genting Highland again.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Good Morning World!

Nothing special on my birthday except the kitchen renovation started today which made me woke up early. I only had 6 hours of sleep. I hope I can stay awake during Harry Porter later this afternoon.

Still have no idea what my birthday lunch and dinner will be. Don’t think hubby prepare any surprise birthday gift for me. He does not know what I want and he won’t simply buy me things coz previous experience taught him not too! hahaha.

My children expected me to buy them a gift. I have not thought of what to buy for them. I need to save up to buy textbooks for next years. Not cheap as my soon to be 5yo son will be going to private kindy. His books alone is more than RM700. Two of his sisters will be in primary school and their books’ cost is only 10% of his!

Anyway, Happy Birthday To Me!

Sharing a Welding Machine

A welding machine is quite costly (at least to us) but we need to use it to fix the broken chairs at hubby’s shop. So, what hubby did was to share the cost of buying one with one of his brothers. So they take turn to use the welding machine since we don’t have broken chairs every day. :P The only item that hubby has not buy is the bifocal safety glasses. It will make his job so much faster with the “magnifying glass”. I wonder whether his brother wanna share to buy this one too. ;)
