Angpows (red packet) have been given and collected. It is getting lesser each year for each child. I think arh, because I have 5 of them, some visitors dare not ask the mommy or daddy “how many children you have?” then gave the angpow to the parents to give to their children. Instead they only give to the children that they saw. hehe.
Due to having many children also makes me feel shy to bring all my children to go for visitation. This year, we limit our rounds to only those “compulsory” to visit relative. And I don’t give out many angpows too. If I see other in laws have given to that certain family that came to visit MIL, I’ll will not give. If not, they will feel obliged to return the favor. They only have 2 to 3 children compared to mine; 5 of them! I don’t want them to “rugi” hahaha. Next year lagi teruk for them; I’ll have 6!

As children we look forward to Chinese New Year because that will be the day we can get lots of cash. As parents, I don’t really look forward to CNY coz that will be the day we give away lots of cash. hehe. Anyway, thank God for His blessings. We received more than we gave.
For the past few days, my children have been discussing on how to spend their angpows collection and asking me permission to spend them. My eldest wanted to buy a doll house, my 2nd girl, jewelry and make up set and my boys wanted the revell model kits. Will they get what they wanted? Of course, NOT! We need to save money for their homeschooling materials. Homeschooling is cheaper if you have many children but it requires a lot of investment to begin.

When we have to pay credit card interest, it means that we are very tight financially. We do not have enough cash to pay for all our bills. In times like this, it sucks to just depend on one person income. In times like this how I wish I can go back to work, get one of those Desk Clerk Jobs also can.
Dear Lord, please let someone rent my apartment by 1st October 2011. We do not have extra RM750 every month to pay for our homeloan and maintenance fee.
Dear Lord, please let MBMB pay me back the tax that I wrongly paid to their account by today. We really need the cash.

I know that buying 4D is against biblical principle because it is a form of gambling.
So, what do you do if you dream of a 4 digit number? For non-believer they will definitely try their “luck”.
Hubby dreamed of a 4D number a few days ago. We are in need of some extra cash. Our conscience tells us that we cannot buy. Hubby told his mom and his mom bought the number! The number is 7273. So, did we strike rich with that number? Definitely not! The number that came out was 2273. Miss one number.
Hubby said, the moral of the story is…Don’t gamble coz the gambling company is the one that will always win.

A year ago, we got summoned by the traffic police during a road block coz my old junk car’s road tax expired a day before. The reason I forgotten because I was hospitalised a few days before that and I have not been driving my old junk. This year, I set a reminder in my cell phone. Not gonna get summon again this year. I still have 3 more weeks to hunt for the cheapest car insurance rate. Starting this year, car insurance rate for old junks are very expensive and not many insurance company want to sell it. I am checking out Wholesaleinsurance.net to see whether they got sell cheap car insurance for old junks or not.

Hubby and another church member bought over an internet cafe. As you all know, we do not have any savings besides our gold investment account. To get the capital to start the business, we were planning tosell gold at goldfellow.com. I was kind of reluctant to sell my gold because they are our children’s education fund and the price of gold keeps on increasing each year. The percentage of increase is more than the bank loan interest. And yet at the same time, we do not want to borrow from the bank. Thank God I have a retired dad who is quite spendthrift. I managed to loan from him some cash. I still have to sell my gold but not so much anymore lar.

Looking at hubby’s business sales, I am so tempted to start working again. I dislike the thoughts of having not enough by month end to pay for our monthly expenses. I dislike having to think twice before having a meal at a food court. I dislike having to choose a cheaper food than the food that I want/like to eat which is sometimes (ok, most of the time) expensive. I wonder whether my ex-company is willing to hire me again after leaving them for 3 years. I wonder whether they will allow me to work only 5 hours a day for half the pay that I used to be paid. At least with that half month pay, I can cover the home loan installment and education insurance. Then maybe wealth management company like Missoula, MT wealth management group can help me manage my income so that I can gain more from it. But then, I can only work when my last baby can eat adult food, that is another half a year to go. Let’s see how things go by then.

My hubby is on a stingy mode now. No more dining out after church with the children anymore. Can only dine out with the children on special occasion only. That will be probably less than 10 times a year. I have no say coz I do not bring home the bread anymore. In time like this, how I wish I am still earning my own income.

It has always been my dream to be a SAHM. After 9 years earning my own income and after having 3 children, circumstances made me decided to follow my dream. Come this June, it will be my 3rd year being a SAHM. If I tell you that I enjoy every moment being one, I’d be lying. There are times that I wish I am still working and away from my children for that few hours.
Another one is when I can’t spend as I wish. *sigh* In moment like this, how I wish I am still working so that I can spend without asking permission. I can buy nice beach dress for the Beach Party Invitations, I can buy more pretty clothes for my girls, I can indulge in the food that I enjoy eating without thinking twice about the price etc. Without my own income, even with 50% discount I can’t buy. 50% still money what.

Last week we spent RM300 to get a new lens for my eldest girl’s glasses. In which I have to postpone changing my lens to next month because my budget is only RM300. Didn’t expect that my girl needs bifocal lens.
Just now, my 23mo broke his 2nd sister’s spectacle frame. I was super duper upset because it means that I have to spend another RM300 to get a new frame and lens. We are way over budget this month.
Thank God with the help of super glue and a thread, I managed to fix the frame. I hope that it will stay intact for at least a month.
Looks like Mommy’s lens have to wait for another 2 months time. And intention to buy a diamond pendant for myself from Diamonds International Jewelry Barbados will have to be postponed until further notice.

How I wish I can get tenants that will abide to the tenancy agreement; one year tenancy not 3 months or 6 months only. When they void the one year tenancy agreement, the deposit will be forfeited but we never get to “enjoy” the deposit and we ended up paying for their utility usage. Due to our ignorance, we paid more than 1k when my last tenant left my apartment.
Then a new tenant came in but wanted to leave in December. His deposit will surely be forfeited. He thought he canĀ get his deposit back by not paying for this month’s rental and he also did not pay for last month utility bills. We smsed asking for payment but as expected, we did not received any reply. This time, no more Mr Nice Guy. Hubby went to the apartment, no one answered the door. Hubby tried breaking the lock but it can’t be broken. Hubby then get the help of the apartment management to cut the water and electricity supply. Shortly after that, hubby received phone call that the lock has been damaged and it can’t be opened. One of the tenants was trapped inside and another one who just came back from working part time in one of auto insurance companies in town can’t go in!
To cut the long story short, we got this month rental and they paid in full the utility bills.

Today is my 2nd daughter’s birthday. She turns 6 today. Exactly a week from today, it will be her daddy’s birthday. It is easy to buy birthday gift for children but not for adult unless you have lots of money.
Most of the things that an adult wants would cost hundred of dollars or even thousand. If I am still working, I might get for hubby the htc desire smartphone. Since I am a SAHM without much income, I can’t even afford to buy him a hundred dollar cellphone!

We still have not sell any of my ex-tenant items that we confiscated from my apartment yet. We have 2 Dunson’s travel bag, microphone, speakers, leather boots, bag pack, hand carry luggage bag, dog leash, winter jackets, blazer, LCD monitor, Ray Ban etc. If any of you interested in any of the items mentioned above, gimme a buzz ok. I need cash to pay my credit card which was used to pay the TNB bills.

I just found out today that UOB has gold investment account too. The price is better than PBB and MBB because the difference between Selling and Buying is only RM2. However the minimum subsequent investment is 5g.
To those like me that does not know anything about Forex margin management and not a risk taker, this is the best type of investment for high returns in long term.

My tenant sms hubby that he will come to meet him to collect his bags. We replied him saying that if he does not pay us the whole outstanding bills amount, don’t mentioned about taking his belongings. It has been 3 days since then; no sms and no calls. We kind of expected this to happen. With the 2.6k that he owed us, he can buy EVERYTHING NEW including those weight loss pills that workthat we confiscate from the apartment.

I thought I would need sleeping pills to help me sleep after being slapped with a huge debt left by my tenant. God is Good. All the time! I prayed for Him to send some money from Heaven to help us pay for the bills that was left behind for us to settle. Like I mentioned many times before, we hardly have any savings! Our children has more money in their bank account that us! Oh no! We did not bank in our money there; those are their Angpows’ money.
2 days ago, I received a long list of links order from an advertiser and more to come; not for my blogs but for the list of blogs that I sent to him sometime ago. This means that I will get 10% commission from the bloggers.
God actually sends money from Heaven! Halleluyah!
I have not receive any payment yet. I hope when everything is completed, the amount will be more than enough to pay for the outstanding bills.

In Malaysia, the taxable pay tax so that the ruling political party can go get richer by spending tax payer money for personal benefit. This is the fact now you know. In order to qualified for disability insurance, you must contribute to another type of tax called the Socso or get buy you own PA. In the US, disability insurance is not purchased, it has been paid for through their FICA taxes. If you need it then company like Allsup will assist them in getting it.

A friend of mine asked me how do I decide to take the bold step to become a SAHM and living on a single income. All of us have so many financial commitments; homeloan, car loan, insurance, fees, utilities, petrol etc. To me, I was in a way forced to resign and be a SAHM because my No.3 does not want other people to mind him and to send all 3 to nursery cost half of my salary that was less than 2.5k; so it is more practical to just resign and mind them myself.
We have to live by our means; meaning do away with luxuries and live a simple life. I know most parents work for their children education fund but not us. Let them find their way like we did. Our parents did not have any education fund for us but we still managed to graduate with a degree and get a good job.
As a SAHM, we can get some income if we can find the time to do so. As for me, I might not have the time to be a Wholesale Insurance agent but I learn some skill like sewing and managed to sell a few bags which is sufficient to invest in some books for my children. Knowledge can bring them further than money you know.

Halleluyah! We have finally paid up our last 1k beginning of this month. It was not easy you know. 1k may seems little to some of you but it took us 3 months to have that extra 1k in our business account. I am so glad that part of my hard earned online income is also being used to pay up the business loan. I jokingly tell hubby that half of the business is mine!
Do you know that not all wives are willing to share their income with their husband? I know a few. One of them is my ex-colleague. Her salary is hers and her hubby didn’t even know how much she has in her savings account! This is really not healthy in a marriage. I don’t understand how can a wife live her everyday life with the husband thinking that he might leave me one day for another woman. So, she must save some for her “in case” future. Where is the trust? Where is the transparency? Will the marriage survive with this kind of attitude?

After running an internet cafe for almost 4 years now, we have changed our office furniture a few times especially the cheaper chairs. I always believe that we must pay for quality but sometimes, our budget does not allow it. At that point in time, we were really in need to replace the office chair but we did not have much cash. So we settled for a cheap office chair. In less than half a year, the chair broke. Hmph! We really must set aside a small budget to replace our office furniture; must buy good quality ones this time.
