No More Business Loan

Halleluyah! We have finally paid up our last 1k beginning of this month. It was not easy you know. 1k may seems little to some of you but it took us 3 months to have that extra 1k in our business account. I am so glad that part of my hard earned online income is also being used to pay up the business loan. I jokingly tell hubby that half of the business is mine!

Do you know that not all wives are willing to share their income with their husband? I know a few. One of them is my ex-colleague. Her salary is hers and her hubby didn’t even know how much she has in her savings account! This is really not healthy in a marriage. I don’t understand how can a wife live her everyday life with the husband thinking that he might leave me one day for another woman. So, she must save some for her “in case” future. Where is the trust? Where is the transparency? Will the marriage survive with this kind of attitude?

Cheap Office Furniture

After running an internet cafe for almost 4 years now, we have changed our office furniture a few times especially the cheaper chairs. I always believe that we must pay for quality but sometimes, our budget does not allow it. At that point in time, we were really in need to replace the office chair but we did not have much cash. So we settled for a cheap office chair. In less than half a year, the chair broke. Hmph! We really must set aside a small budget to replace our office furniture; must buy good quality ones this time.

Insurance Agent - Stop Bugging Me!

Aiya! The insurance agent just called again. Told her to come during school holiday but she never did. She wanted to come today but I told her that I am very busy. True what….busy crapping away now. Since she called so many times, I have to give face and let her come see me on Sunday at 3pm. Hmmm…I hope something come up on that particular hour and I can escape her again. :P If not, I just have to nod, nod and nod when she explains and convince me to check out her life insurance rates. I think I should just tell her that I have no money to buy more insurance. Full stop. End of bugging me to buy insurance from her.

We Need To Start Saving, Dear

Our family is growing, our children are growing. It is high time that we start setting aside a sum of cash every month to be deposited into our savings account rather than wait till we have extra then only we save.

When I was working, I did the savings for our family but when I resigned, hubby did not continue this good habit because we barely have enough every month. In the end most of my savings went into his business and also our monthly expenses.

Now that God has blessed us with enough, we should start saving again for our children education. Since we will be homeschooling, chances to obtain a scholarship is very slim. So, we must work hard and start saving now. We must postpone buying electronic cigarette for my dad for his birthday this year. ;) We will advice him to stop smoking instead so that he can live longer on this earth. :)

Wife Cannot Work at Husband’s Shop

I tell you why this wife cannot work at her husband’s shop.

Firstly, she will help herself with the drinks from the chiller. That’s RM1.60 - RM2.50. If she brings her kid along, doubled or tripled that amount.

When she gets bored because Farmville cannot load, she will take a packet of peanut to chew. That’s RM1.30.

She mistakenly open the wrong PC and some smart boy played at the PC discreetly without paying. That’s RM1.00 to RM2.00.

Sometimes, she photostates wrongly. That will be about RM0.10 - RM1.00.

She got bored again. She orders Maggi Goreng from the Mamak shop next door. That’s RM3.00.

If she brings her eldest daughter along that will be another RM2.00 - RM6.00 of computer usage depending how long she has to work at the shop.

So, let’s total the above.

For 3 hours of working at her husband’s shop, she spent RM15.80.

Ok lar kan? Coz he is paying his part-time staff RM4 per hour. Wife must pay more lar right. :P

Increase Salary

I get very irritated when one of hubby’s part-time staff wife kept telling me to increase her husband’s salary. As though hubby’s business is earning so much profit. Maybe what he saw in the daily sales worksheet shows that profit is high but those are gross profit. I think, her husband’s take home salary every month is more that hubby’s. I am sure they have savings and can afford to buy gold coins unlike us, no savings at all. I kid you not!

Financial Blessing

This month, we really need financial blessing from above. Actually not only this month but even month. :P God has been blessing us financially every month but this month, the sales are very low and the expenses are high. We only have 1k left to pay up our business loan but that has to be postponed until we have the extras.

I am holding back myself from asking hubby to bring us to dine at fast food outlet coz it is expensive. I think I am craving for pizza! It has been in my mind for a few days already but RM50 will fly just like that for 2 regular pizzas and RM50 can give us 3 days meal if I cook at home. :P Maybe I can find some side income at carinsurancelist.com. Imagine me, becoming an insurance agent! Sure no sales one.

Almost There

We are almost there to finishing up paying our business loan. We are sure gonna celebrate God’s blessing with our staff and maybe buy one of those cool tv stands for the shop. Hubby loves watching TV. :P

However, that is not the end of paying to the person that loans us his money. The loan is interest-free. To repay his generousity, we are continuing to pray for God’s blessing on the business so that we would have extras to pay him some interest. How’s that? :D

Problems in Marriage - Money Matters

One of the problems in marriage is money matters. To me, no matter who is earning more or who is the breadwinner, we must have trust when it comes to money. We must find
budgeting tips too.

I really don’t agree with some couples who has a separate bank account unknown by their spouse. Their reason is, just in case my spouse left me for another one.

If this is the case, there is always the worry that your spouse might leave you. Think too much until it will affect the relationship coz there is no trust when you worry.

Think about it.

Old Junk Repaired

At last we found the time to send my old junk for another repair. To change the coil that makes the timing very high. I hope there won’t be any major repair after this coz we need our cash to settle our business loan. And if God willing, hubby wants to buy a better car that we can use to travel outstation.

Is there any car insurance where you can claim any repair cost? Just like the life insurance. When we are hospitalized we can claim the hospitalization cost.

Chinese New Year Getaway

I read that a few of my fellow blogger friends are flying away this Chinese New Year. Not sure whether they are heading to Poipu vacation rentals but I read one of them will be celebrating Chinese New Year in HongKong Disneyland.

I realised that KL people and the rich prefers to go for vacation to celebrate their Chinese New Year. One thing that is obvious is they have very small family. I can imagine how “quiet” their Chinese New Year celebration is going to be unlike those with big family like mine. :D Furthermore, the rich prefers not to distrubute their wealth with others. Many times I heard them saying, “Better I use my money by going for a holiday with my family than give to others.”

I guess they never experience the joy of giving.

His Blessings Flow

I often blog about how financially tight we are. Today, I want to praise God for His financial blessings.

Hubby’s business is picking up out of our expectation. We see sales that we can never imagine that it can come to that amount. Due to it, we are able to settle a big amount in our business loan. We hope to pay up the outstanding loan by end of this year.

For the pass 2 days, the price of gold increased tremendously. We took this opportunity to sell some of my gold investment (which I bought during the good old paid-post days) to pay our business loan too. Now, I am gold-less. Nevermind, God will bless us with more gold! If not here, surely in Heaven I will walk on roads that are made of gold.

An advertiser just offered me a good sum of money to place a text-link on my sidebar and I took this opportunity to offer my service to them; helping them to look for more blogs at a minimal fee. An email came back saying that they agreed but I am still waiting for a confirmation after I wrote my proposal to them. Keeping my finger crossed and praying really hard that they will want my assistance. :)

We are praying that God will bless us enough so that we can afford to buy a better car; a MPV if possible. My old junk is still not running and I am using my sister’s car while she is still in confinement. In a week time, we are left with one car. Even though hubby seldom drive to work but when it rains and he needs to bring computers for repairs, he needs a car.

You know what, we are really thankful for His blessings but we are physically tired at the same time. We are still praying for an honest Christian staff for the shop; hubby has been working from morning till the next morning every single day except on Sundays. I am tired managing the household and my 4 lovely children all by myself every single day except on Sundays.

Above all this, I still believe that In His Time He Will Make All Things Beautiful.

His Blessing through My Dad

Whatever it is, I praise God for His blessing. He may not bless me directly but He blessed my dad instead. And through him, I am able to “grant” my children’s desire to own better bicycles, opened a saving account for my youngest son, bought new clothes for my eldest and some toys too. I still have some cash left to fix my car and my broken glasses. :D

And my dad is going to buy a new Saga BLM too; meaning we, his children does not have to pay installment to buy him a new car anymore. Initially, it was my idea to share with my siblings to buy him a new car after he met with an accident. I’m kind of relief that he is buying with his own money since we are always tight these days.

Summoned Paid at only RM70

I really praise God that hubby did not bribe. My dad kept telling us that we should just give the police officer RM50. Look the amount of our summoned is just RM20 more. Better pay to the government than letting the money goes into the police officer pocket. :P

A day before we go to pay the summon, I did some search to find out how much will it cost us and I came to Myeg.com.my. There I found out that if we pay our summon within a month, we can get discount from 30% - 50%.

When paying the summon, the police officer at the counter told us that the summon cost RM150. Then hubby told her what is mentioned in the website and she nodded and told us that we only need to pay RM70. If hubby did not mention about it, I am sure, she won’t give any discount.

Used Textbooks

My daughter came home from school telling me that I must pay her teacher. It is beginning of the month and it is fee time. Just 2 months ago I spend quite a big amount to buy book for them. I can’t wait for them to enter Primary One whereby textbooks are provide free to all students. Does the government still practices giving free textbooks? If not, I can always buy 2nd hand ones. In kindy, they change their textbooks every year so I can’t hand down my eldest girl’s textbooks to my other children. They really clever to squeeze our hard earn money eh.

Unbelieveable Medical Bill

I really thank God for His blessing. During my stay in the hospital, I saw on the notice board that deposit for O&G operation is RM800 so I thought that the cost of my operation can go that high. Then the cost of the room I stayed is RM80 per day; that is for 1st Class Single Bed room. I need to at least stay there for 4 days and that would come up to more than a thousand ringgit. On top of that, my medical insurance does not cover anything that has to do with O&G operation. :(

My insurance agent cum church member came to visit and encourage us to trust God that He will provide. We prayed and did just that. I am so thankful that the bill is only RM49! It is so unbelievable.

The room cost is at the 3rd class price which is only RM3 per day. The operation cost is only RM20 and the lab test is only RM17.

If I went to have the laparoscopy done in a private hospital, sure a few thousand ringgit will be gone!

Again and again I worry. Hubby said that was what the Pastor was preaching in church today. Women’s biggest sin is WORRY.

If He is a Lawyer

If hubby still practices law, I won’t be whining about money now. However, if hubby still practices law, he won’t be my husband now! If you read my love story before then you would know the reason. :P

Hubby said he does not like to practice law due the stress. I guess every job has their own stress and it depends on us on how to handle it; whether you are Mesothelioma lawyers, accountants, doctors, teachers, engineers or just a clerk.

With hubby running his own business, I think there is a certain level of stress in it when income is not sufficient, staff cheating, no staff and most of all his health is affected due to long working hours.

Family First

I should be writing this post in my Blogspot blog but according to my stats, less people reads this blog compared to that blog. So I shall rant here.

I was driving to hubby’s shop to send him his dinner yesterday evening. Even before I started driving, I made a plan to hop over to Giant with baby after hubby has done taking his dinner and bathing. I wanted to buy chicken thigh so that I can bake chicken again since my children loves it so much and I wanted to give some to my mom’s coz on that day, I told her I will give her some but ended up none at all coz after we dig in, all left was the breast part and my mom does not like that part.

As I was sitting at the counter, waiting for hubby to finish bathing I decided not to go and spend. This is because I am not getting enough income from online to pay my bills at the end of the month. This sucks! :(

Even though I know I can’t go to work now, I kept hoping that I can. Everyday when I drive my girls to kindy, I passes a few factories and I kept wondering whether there is any vacancy for me there. I miss earning for myself and for my family.

If you are wondering where is my husband; he is still around but I cannot depend on him. He wants to do what he likes even if it means not earning enough to support the family. I know he is praying and trying very hard to earn more but after 3 years, business is not doing any better. If I were him, I will go back to his previous, previous profession even though I dreaded it but I know I can get fix income every month for my family. To me, it is family first and my wants come later. But he is not me and I will not force him to do what he does not like.

Maybe this is one of the reasons as to why I want my baby to grow up faster. So that I can send him to a babysitter and go back to work. *sigh*

I better go back to sleep now. It is 5am already and I need to wake up at 7.30am to breastfeed and get my girls ready for kindy.

Back to Square One

Hubby fired his one and only employee because she has been dishonest many times. From the very beginning I already expected that she won’t be working long with us. Either she would leave for other job or we terminate her. Kinda disappointed that it is the latter.

I wonder how much of the business money has gone into her pocket. The first month when she started working with us, the sales dropped. I got a feeling that she “transferred” some of the sales into her pocket. She is not only dishonest but lazy too.

I kept telling hubby to switch on the CCTV again but he refused. Till today I still don’t understand the reason he didn’t want to do that.

Now we are back to square one until we get a replacement. Hubby will be working from 10am to 12mn Monday to Saturday!

Never Felt So Poor Before

I know I am not rich.

But having someone telling you indirectly at your face that you are poor, it hurts.

Deep down, I really wish that God will bless us more than enough that we can be richer than them.

But I know that earthly treasures are nothing compared to the treasures that God has prepared for us in Heaven.
