I really thank God that he healed me just on time to celebrate Chinese New Year. Today, I gladly announce that I am completely healed. No more headache and no more sore-throat. I also got back my appetite last night. I ate a packet of Nasi Lemak topped with one hard-boiled egg and a piece of fried chicken. I will surely need the weight loss pills if my appetite continues to be this big. Furthermore, tonight we will start feasting till the 2nd night of Chinese New Year. We will start of with the reunion dinner, then steamboat or satay celup on the first night and BBQ on the 2nd night of Chinese New Year. Come join me!

Today we were served with the most oily lunch ever! I can’t believe they let HER cook all our reunion dinner food last night. Nyonya food must be cooked by a Nyonya. No matter how good is a Chinese cook, they can never cook the Nyonya dishes like the Nyonya does.
The Pong Teh does not taste like Pong Teh at all; even my 6yo girl agrees to it! The Itik Tim lacks the sourish taste. The Sek Ak/Bak; I see the amount of oil floating in the bowl and the thick layer if fat on the pork, I don’t even dare to try. I am sure I would need the epiduo to prevent breakouts of I eat them. The Ayam Buah Keluak is way too oily plus other dishes also oily.
Our Indonesian maid cooks better Nyonya food that HER.

Praise God that hubby went to work later today. I did not have to wake up early to cook for him. I did not cook today coz I forgot to thaw the blended chili last night. I wanted to cook Nasi Lemak actually.
So we planned to eat out and maybe bring our children to circuit city but we received a phone call from my mom that save our money from eating out. My mom cooked Nasi Lemak too! So we head to my mom’s and enjoyed her Steam Nasi Lemak and hubby pack some for his dinner then head to work.

We had a wedding dinner in Holiday Inn Melaka last Sunday. It was great meeting with relatives; mostly hubby’s side. I love them coz most of them are super friendly. =D One of hubby’s nieces adores my 8mo baby and due to it, we were relieved from him for a lil while during the dinner.
And the best part was we were served with a 8 course vegetarian dinner. Our tummy was not full the brim but it was just right. All of us went home “slim”. If not, none of us can go through the motorhomes door!

Hubby has to work but we managed to get him to come home when his part time came in at 7pm.
His niece; Hilda prepared Bolognese Spaghetti for dinner and I bought a Chocolate Fudge cake from Yee’s Bakery. Unfortunately, hubby did not get to enjoy the cake coz he was coughing due to the cold weather. Looks like I never get it right when I buy birthday cake for him.

After 10 days staying day and night at my parents’ house and being fed my mom’s yummilicious dishes every day, my eldest daughter is fatter. Even though I reduced her rice portion and she eats fish only, no more a meat eater like before, she still put on weight. Is there any diet supplements for a 6yo???
Apart from food, being immobile most of the time is also the caused of it. My mom’s house is smaller and my children is not allowed to play outdoor for the fear of getting bitten by snakes. So most of the time they are indoor, sitting or lying down playing or watching TV!
I can’t go home with my health condition now. One more week I’ll be able to bring all of them home if the maid is not returned to us this weekend. Then I will make sure this daughter of mine jogs around the compound or play catching with her other siblings.

Looks like I would not be able to go out for any party invitations for the next one month. I’m praying hard that I would be able to recover fast after the operation. There would be a lot of restriction or “pantang” on the food that I can eat. Well, in a way, that is good for my body and for my baby too. Have to eat all the healthy and clean food. But I do wish that I can get a taste of the party food too. Hmmm…maybe that one can wait

We have so many birthdays in the family for the month of May and June but 2 days ago we celebrated those born in June. We had so much food; birthday cake, cupcakes, fried chicken, satay, spaghetti, chocolates and honey dew sago drink. If I am not breastfeeding my newborn, I will surely need the ephedrine!
Today, BIL and family from Ipoh is going to visit the Melaka Zoo. Must get hubby to bring the kids along because they need the exercise after all those feasting.

My baby is one month old today and I feel like going out to celebrate. Let’s go MAKAN! Since I can eat as much as I can now and not worrying of putting on weight, I should enjoy eating my favorite food while I can. Once I stopped breastfeeding, it will be a different story all together. I must watch what I eat or else, I need to resort to weight loss pills to keep me slim. I am so happy that my tummy is smaller than hubby’s now. When I am pregnant, hubby was so happy because someone has a bigger tummy than his.

It was our 8th wedding anniversary and like every year before we went out for a special dinner, just the 2 of us. This year, this can’t be done because my newborn is fully breastfeed. We need to bring him along. So our choice of places to eat is very limited; furthermore, I am still in confinement and there are a lot of food I still can’t take.
We ended up having our anniversary dinner at Seoul Garden; BBQ Steamboat. The place is very clean and not many people too. For the first 15mins, my newborn slept soundly in the stroller and I have an interrupted meal. Unfortunately, he poops and then he wanted to latch most of the time when he discovered that he is not at home; feeling insecure I guess.
As always, hubby felt that it was not value for money because we only eat one type of food for a quite big sum of cash. He said, next time around we should just eat a lil bit here and there and get to try more varieties of food.
Ok then, for his birthday, we shall do that.

My wedding anniversary is approaching and as usual the choice of fine dining and places to go is mine. Every year I wish hubby would take this role and surprise me but he worried that his picky wife would sulk if the restaurant is not in her favor.
So I was thinking that since I have to eat a lot now (I just discovered that the more I eat the more breastmilk I have. I want that so that my baby will be well fed.), let’s go for buffet dinner. It will be value for money. This is for hubby’s sake. I go for good food; set aside the price but as for hubby, it must be value for his money.
A blogger friend who does a lot of food review recommended EQ or Holiday Inn. So I went to check their buffet dinner price. If I am not mistaken, I saw RM70++ for a buffet dinner in EQ! My eyes almost pop out; since when they added RM20 to it?
So I told hubby on Gmail chat. “KENSEL.” (cancel). His replied, “LOL.”
My budget for both of us is only RM100. Call me cheapskate but we don’t have the luxury to spend so much for a dinner that we will poop out the next day. I think I am turning into my hubby already; everything must be value for money.
Btw, I can’t simply makan (eat) any food coz I am still in confinement. No unclean food. Don’t think I can take beef either.
I love my eldest daughter very much. I will try to fulfill her every wish. I seldom say “No” to her. It is because she is such an obedient girl and listens to me. But when it comes to food, she does not want to heed my advice. She has her daddy’s appetite and low metabolism rate just like her daddy and this leads to overweight problem. If this continues, she will surely need to through some weight loss supplement reviews to find the suitable weight loss supplement when she become a young lady. As for now, I have to say “No” when she asks for second serving.
Looks like I will be ending my confinement earlier by 4 days because on May 12 is our wedding anniversary. I don’t want to miss celebrating it again. But then, we can only go for dinner and no movie because my newborn will be tagging along. What to do, am fully breastfeeding him. For dinner I am going to indulge myself with beef steak and ice-cream which I am supposed to have on my birthday and before baby pops. I wonder whether I need a colon cleanse after it!

2 weeks ago, my weight was 57kg. Today, my weight is 58.9kg; that’s almost 2kg increased in 2 weeks time! Even though I am pregnant, I doubt it is my pregnancy weight. I blame it on the BBQ, the steamboat, the CNY cookies, and the fizzy drinks! My old stretch-marks are itching now. I sure need Decaslim after I give birth if I want my old slim body back.

This is hubby, having his share of stirring the Dodol. It is a blessing having so many boys in the family. Each of them took turns to stir the Dodol which takes almost 4 hours of non-stop stirring for it to be cooked. This tops up with weight loss pills, I am sure you will definitely loose weight if you do this every week!
The result is very satisfying because the Dodol tasted soooo much nicer than those machine made. And most importantly, the fellowship and bonding that is created during the process of making the Dodol.

Honestly, I don’t like cooking; especially when I am pregnant now. First it was the morning sickness; can’t stand the smell of fried onion and garlic. Then now after the morning sickness is gone, my protruding tummy always got heated up when I cook! And my leg can’t stand the standing.
But I still cook for the sake of my children but it will be an instant one; fried Bee Hoon with Stew Pork. Kinda unhealthy actually; very oily and can food some more! I need to learn more about healthy cooking since I will feed 5 mouths soon.

In the Old Testament times, the Jewish people who were unclean would have to shout out “Unclean, unclean” whenever they are in public. This is to ensure that others would not accidentally touch them and become unclean themselves. That was the ancient ways to keep people from becoming unclean. They do have laws about unclean food which are forbidden to be eaten. And prawn is also one of the unclean food that should not be eaten.
I ate sambal prawns two days ago and before I know it, my face starts to come with acne. I’m prone to acne as my skin is sensitive. Now I have to look for acne products that would suit my face. From now on, I would not eat too much of prawns. Hehehe, I will still eat as the taste is nice but I have to control the amount.

In 3 more months we will be celebrating Christmas. Celebrating the birth of our Saviour. This year, we might be celebrating Christmas in Ipoh if God permits. It is not that simple now to take leave and travel especially hubby has no assistant now. We pray that by then God will send someone trustworthy to work for us. Then I can start planning baking some Christmas cookies for my in laws in Ipoh.

I have been sleeping early for the past few days and that piled up my work. So here am I at hubby’s internet cafe blogging away. Since today is Monday, it is sure a busy day especially people coming to photocopy, print and fax. Hubby asked me to help with the photocopy and I wasted 94 pages! I think he better let me stick with blogging.
He even left the shop for half an hour to go out for lunch with his friend, leaving his wife in hunger. If got the LCD HDTV, at least watching some love and comedy movies would divert my attention from food! He came back empty handed!
Well, I will just continue munching my Jacob’s Hi-Cal Vegetables biscuit and cup after cup of Boh Peppermint Tea.
