Cattle and Sheep
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Take Five | icon4 08 28th, 2008| icon3No Comments »

I have a neighbour that rare so many cattle and sheep. When it is their meal time, they just let them roam by themselves everywhere that has grass. Seeing their size, I wonder where they get their cattle supplies. They are so skinny. I think the grasses are sufficient but I think they must have a lot of worms in their body. I wonder whether they are selling their meat or bones. :P

Hit and Run

Poor Amy. She just bought a brand new car and it got hit by a truck yesterday. I just read from her blog that she just brought the car to a temple in Bangkok for prayer and how her son almost vomited in the car and how furious her hubby would be if that really happen. Now this is even worst than a child’s vomit; a hit and run accident! Thank God she can make claims from the cheap auto insurance that they bought. If not, sure heart pain! Then she would need to make claim for her health insurance then!

I told hubby about it. He was not surprise at all. According to him, driving in Bangkok is worst that driving in KL. I really can’t imagine that. I never dare driving in KL! Anyway, thank God that it is only the car that is injured and lives are saved.

If I were her, I would definitely not buy a new car if I were to live in Bangkok. If got hit, I won’t feel the pinch. But I will make sure to arm myself with health and life insurance! If I am hospitalized, I don’t have to spend much for my hospitalization bill and if I am dead, my children are taken care of financially.

Home Theater
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Family, Take Five | icon4 03 29th, 2008| icon3No Comments »

More and more families have a home theater now. Hubby wished that he could have one too; unfortunately I don’t agree with that idea. Firstly, we do not have any extra room in the house and secondly, we hardly have time to watch movie due to running the business and parenting. Thirdly, pay up your business loan first!!! :P If he wants to get the home theater chairs, I might allow that. If it is comfy and one that reclines. I could do my reading there and then nap.

Mar 6

I brought home the car battery from the battery service centre. Hubby fix it back to my car and reminded me…”Whether rain or no rain, you have to start your car!” hehehehe.

Even on days when I don’t feel like leaving the house, I have to start my car. I think I will just find Car Loans and get a new car. With a new car, we go travel more often so going to Cameron Highland to meet our missionary friend wouldn’t be a problem. :)

When you are in love and apart, the phone is never left in cold. Whenever possible it will be hold tight just like how you will hold your love ones tight when they are in your arms. And when the bill come, either your parent will be screaming or your wallet!

I bring good news this season, not about the birth of Christ, but about a free chat lines service offered by Talk121. You have to be in US to enjoy this phone chat service though. With it you can enjoy free chat as long as you want to and you can even leave Voice Personals for your love ones to hear when they are off the phone.

Lovebites

Sorry to disappoint you but I am not telling you how many Lovebites I got before. :P Read on.

I love Sunsilk. No matter how many times I left Sunsilk, I ended up going back to him. I have dandruff and the anti-dandruff shampoo from Sunsilk does not make my hair dry like other anti-dandruff shampoo. This is reason I stick to it.

I think, Sunsilk love me back because while waiting for my hair to get dry after shampooing, (I don’t like to blow dry my hair), I can now watch Lovebites exclusively brought to me and to you by Sunsilk.

It is a 2 minutes comedy series with 60 episodes about a 25 years old girl, name Callie an assistant style editor at Elle.com battling with quarter life crisis.

I watched a few episode last night, and I tell you, hubby is wondering why am I laughing at my laptop!

Here’s one of the episode that I find very funny! :D

Outer Banks
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Friendship, Take Five | icon4 12 4th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

Last month of my buddies asked what Outer Banks is. I didn’t know how to explain to her. Since that is the text for the bayar post that she is preparing, I helped by forming a sentence using that text. I think it goes something like this. “As I was standing on the outer banks, I saw 2 beautiful swans swimming along the river.”

Today, I received the same assignment and the text has nothing to do with river banks! It is the name of a place! So embarrassing!!! I, so call her English tutor taught her the wrong thing! Malu Malu

One of the worst thing that every human can feel is guilt. It is a form of mechanism that God has put into our spirit to tell us that we have done something wrong against God. Is this too difficult to understand? Let me put it in a simpler sentence. It is the not nice feeling that you will feel when you know that you have done something wrong and God wants to remind you to repent from that wrongdoing. Then the choice would be yours. You can ignore, put aside, cover it and pretend that it is not there but the guilt will always be there. Alternatively you can repent, ask for forgiveness and get rid of your guilt. The first option is easier to our human nature but the result is not so liberating. The second option is very hard to do but it gives total freedom. Unfortunately, many of us choose the first option.

Frances D.Munson has wrote a A book about God’s love titled “Fallen, but Not Forgotten”. It is a story that will definitely cause you to think about your own life. Like what I mentioned earlier, most of us feel that we are doing okay, not a bad person, did not do any major wrong/sin. In fact we covered many of our guilt feelings with layers upon layers of reasons that we cannot even feel those guilt feelings anymore. Frances’ story is truly amazing, a story of forgiveness and hope. It shows of God’s love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness that is available to all who ask and willing to accept. It is not cheap to receive forgiveness from God. In fact God requires a sacrifice for your sin. The good thing is that Jesus has paid it for you by being the sacrifice when he died on the Cross. This is truly God’s love and mercy at work. Would you please be like Frances, humble enough to accept God’s love, mercy and forgiveness.

Online Dating is so common nowadays but we have to be very careful when meeting strangers. Not all of them are serious to getting into serious relationship. Many “predators” out there are waiting to “devour” innocent women.

I found some good tips on online dating that I would like to share especially when it comes to “Let’s Meet” part. Below are a few precautions that you should take when planning for the meet, especially for the ladies.

• Firstly, be sure your family members, if not, close friend know about your meeting place, what time you are meeting, and the time you will be leaving.
• Must inform them you adjourn to another meeting location.
• Meet in public location where there are other people around.
• Never have the person pick you up in his or her car so that you can leave if things do not work out.
• If you meet in other city or state, book your own hotel and do not share information with the person you going to meet.
• Don’t bring them back to your house.

The above are just a few tips that I summarized from OnlineDatingTips.org. Do visit the website to learn more about online dating.

Bad Credit
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Take Five, Finance | icon4 10 31st, 2007| icon3No Comments »

In my previous church, the Pastor stressed about having financial freedom. Meaning not owning anyone a single cent. Buy everything in cash. It is really a bondage if you owe someone money. You are not free to do as you like, like resigning from work. I’ll blog about this later.

However due to lifestyle demand many are in bad credit now, meaning not able to pay on time or missing some payment. This hinders you from borrowing money from some financial institution. Fortunately, there are still company that offers bad credit loans to help you repair your credit status. Check out BadCreditOffers.com.

Saturday is going to be an ironing day again for me because the pastor of the church that we are attending is making it compulsory for the church leaders to wear formal shirts and ties during Sunday service. I don’t mind ironing but it means that I have less time to blog and I don’t really like that idea.

shirt

If I live in UK, I will sure get the above shirt for hubby. A classic herringbone shirt Non-Iron shirt from Van Heusen. The Van Heusen brand has been around since 1919. Through many years of experience and “evolution” I am sure their shirts comes with comfort and quality. It comes with very attractive price too. If you buy more than 3 pieces, it will only be £25 Each. If you check out their Clearance sale, you can even get a shirt from just £15.

Bad Credit

Our pastor always encourages us to have financial freedom; meaning no owing anyone. But sometimes circumstances makes us loose judgement and get into debt and sometimes to the extend borrowing more than we can afford to pay. Due to this, many will be labeled as having bad credit and some finance institution won’t allow them to borrow anymore. However there are still a few finance companies that offers loan to those who have bad credit to help them get rid of the bad credit label. BadCreditOffers.com has a list of the companies that do so.

Nose Block
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Take Five, Health | icon4 10 4th, 2007| icon32 Comments »

I always experienced nose block and my nose is very sensitive to just a light hit. Like when my children accidentally hit my nose with their forehead. This will cost me to sneeze non stop for a few minutes. I wonder whether Chicago rhinoplasty could do something about it.

I know Rhinoplasty is usually done to reshape the nose in order to improve its appearance, like making the bridge higher. Many Asian really needs this. :P As for me, I am thankful with what God has blessed me with. You know, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. :)

It seems that besides for the purpose of beauty, Rhinoplasty may also help to alleviate some breathing problems. But this cost a lot of money too. Since I don’t have much to spare, I will just trust God for His healing touch. That’s the best Rhinoplasty in the world! :D

I was in the office this morning about to fax the Purchase Order to supplier when I heard the above through the radio. The first thing that comes to my mind was, “Boy! The old lady must be filthy rich or maybe San Jose plastic surgeons did their wonders and transformed her look and body to a 24 years old lady.”
24 married 82

But I was wrong. Just look at the picture. She really looks her age and she does look rich.

My question, if she is not rich, does this proves that love is really blind?

The groom, Reinaldo Waveqche, told reporters after the ceremony in Santa Fe, northern Argentina: “I’ve always liked mature ladies.”

Mr Waveqche added: “I don’t care what other people say.” He and bride Adelfa Volpes, 82, are planning to travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon.

Asked if the marriage was purely spiritual, Ms Volpes laughed and replied: “There is going to be more.”

The couple were married in a civil service after several years of engagement, and later walked through a local church surrounded by reporters.

Their love blossomed when Mr Waveqche went to live with her after his mother’s death when he was 15.

He said he admired his new wife’s zest for life, and emphasised how special she was to him.

I wanted to sign up for yoga class a few years back but my husband did not allow me. He told me that it has something to do with chanting, meditation and mantras that are not for the believer of Christ. I just obeyed without finding out more about it. Ya, I am a good wife. :P

Today I found a website that talk about Kundalini yoga exercises.

In Kundalini Yoga, great emphasis is placed on chanting and meditation. The Kundalini means coilded snake in the body can be awakened by practicing Asanas, Pranayama and Mantras. Once the Kundalini has been awakened, individuals may feel a variety of experiences including sensations along the spinal cord, trembling, tingling sensations, waves of heat, bursts of joy and even transcendental visions. Some believe that activating the Kundalini energy begins the path leading to Enlightenment.

By practicing yoga, indirectly we are practicing their beliefs and their ritual too.

Recently I watch a testimony of a Christian lady who struggles to keep her marriage with a non-believer husband. Her husband gambles a lot. Many times she was left alone at home taking care of her 3 children and also earning side income doing all sorts of odd jobs. At the same time she persistently prays that God will touch her husband hearts and bring him to Christ.

One day her while cooking, the gas cylinder exploded and she was badly burnt, especially on her face. Thank God with the expertise from Toronto plastic surgery clinic and healing touch from God, you will never notice that her face was burnt before. It was truly a miracle. Since then, her husband started to believe the God that his wife is worshiping and he left his gambling addiction.

My Nightlife
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Take Five, Etc | icon4 09 29th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

I love my university days. That is the time where I have nightlife almost every night. Well, as a Christian, my nightlife does not revolve around night clubs, karaoke or pubs. So wondering what is my night life? Care groups meeting, where a few of us Christian students meet to sing praises and share God’s word. Boring? Honestly, sometimes.

But the part I enjoyed most is when we have practices for concerts. I dance and I act. So every night, I will be out dancing!

Now my nightlife is forcing my children to go to bed! Hehe.

Bridal Shower Ideas

If I can turn back time, I would plan for a bridal shower. Yes, you heard me right. I did not have bridal shower before my wedding. Partly it is because of financial constrained.

card

Anyway, if money was not an issue I would love to have a bridal shower with a dancing theme because I love to dance, ballroom dance, that is; Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rumba and Salsa. Everyone that is invited must be prepared to dance. That is why I would choose the above bridal shower invitation card so that they will come with their dancing shoes.

If you are out of ideas for your bridal shower theme, check out Wedding-Needs.com. As I browsing through their extensive selection of bridal shower invitations for inspiration, I found another great idea for bridal shower.

Lingerie shower. Since it will be an all ladies night. Come with your best lingerie.

Arrgh! Can I turn back time? :)

Baby Baptism
icon1 Michelle | icon2 Take Five, Parenting | icon4 08 28th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

I am not from Catholic church. I am from AG church (Protestant), so baby baptism is not in our dictionary. What we have is Baby Dedication. Just a simple prayer up at the alter by the pastor of the church, dedicating the baby to God and we the parent committing to God to raise them up in the fear of God. Some rich parents would throw a party after that too.

Btw, we still have not dedicated our 2nd and 3rd child to God. Maybe we will do it together and throw a small party for them in church. Maybe I will get those cute baptism invitations to invite family and friends to join the party. I can easily get some baptism invitations online. So many to choose from.

cards

I personally like the above baptism invitation card. It reminds me of their first touch when I brought them into this world. And the color is neutral, neither pink blue, just perfect for my girl and boy. I was just wondering, anyone know what is the brush for? :D
